Rubik's Cube (Joshler)

Tyler's POV ~

I'm back at my house now, I was at Josh's. We watched a movie with momma dun, I didn't want to leave when it was over but I forced myself to.

I'm currently sitting in my car in the driveway. I would go in but I'm nervous. I told myself I would tell my parents tonight but I'm scared.

I took a deep breath and forced myself out of the car and into the house. I walked into the living room where my mom and dad were watching tv.

"...umm m-mom, d-dad?" I asked feeling myself start to shake slightly.
My dad turned the tv volume down so they could hear me. "What is it?" he asked. I slowly came closer to them until I stood in front of them. "I have something... I.. I need to tell you something."

"Are you okay Tyler?" my mom asked. "I.. Um-" my dad cut me off. "Just tell us what you want to tell us were trying to watch tv."

"I um d-don't be mad... But um.. I'm... I-i-" I started crying. I'm not sure why but I did. My mom stood up. "Why are you crying?" she put her hand on my shoulder.

"I don't know." I sobbed rasing a hand to my face to wipe the tears. "Tyler seriously I'm getting fed up if your not going to say what you wanted to say then go to your room." my dad spoke in an annoyed tone.

I took in as much air as my lungs would allow and closed my eyes. "I'm gay." I whispered. "Excuse me." my dad said. "I-I... I'm gay." I said again but a little louder.

My mom removed her hand from my shoulder. "No your not." she said. "Y-yes I am." I said. My dad stood up and smacked me across the face. "No your not stop with this nonsense and go to your room!" he yelled as I winced at the sting in my cheek. "B-but I am... I'm um dating Josh."

"I knew I shouldn't have trusted that Josh kid." my mom spoke. "It's not Josh's fault.. It's just who I am!" I snapped. "DON'T YOU YELL AT YOUR MOTHER! GO! GET OUT! I WILL NOT HAVE A FAG LIVING UNDER MY ROOF!" my dad screamed as my siblings walked into the room to see what all the yelling was about.

I started to cry even harder. My dad slapped me again but this time with more force. "DID YOU NOT HEAR ME? I SAID GET OUT!"

Zack ran over and grabbed my dads hand as he went to hit me again. "Stop! Dad stop it! Its not his fault that's he's gay he just is now stop it!" he screamed. "Zack go to your room your grounded! Jay and Maddy you two better go as well before I ground you too!"

I ran up the stairs to my room, grabbed a bunch of clothes and threw them in a backpack as tears flowed from my eyes. God why did I tell them?

I quickly put my shoes on and left, slamming the door as I did so. I got in my car and backed out of the driveway calling Josh as I did so.

It rang 3 times before he picked up.

"Hey baby" he said tiredly
"I don't know what to do.. Josh I'm scared what do I do?" I cried.
"Wait what? What happened? Why are you crying? Where are you?"
I gasped for air because I couldn't seem to catch my breath.
"I-i can't breathe Josh. I don't know what to do."
"Shh shhh calm down baby.. Just breathe."
I wasn't paying attention and I almost hit the car in front of me that was stopped at the stop sign. The tires of my car screeched.
"Tyler?! What was that?! Are you okay?!" Josh panicked.
"Y-yeah I'm good." I breathed with my eyes wide.
"Where are you?"
"I'm.. At a stop sign... I don't know where I'm going."
"Come to my house. I don't know what happened but just come to my house."
I drew in a shaky breath.
"O-okay.. Can you stay on the phone with me? I'm scared."
"Yes baby just drive safe okay?"
"O-okay."

I continued my way to Josh's as he kept telling me to breathe and to drive safe. Eventually I turned onto his street.

"I'm on your street." I said through tears.
"Okay I'm going to hang up now I'll see you in a sec."
"Okay."

He hung up and I pulled into his driveway, as soon as I did Josh ran out of his house leaving the door open, in sock feet, no shirt and ran to the car. I parked it and opened the door as fast as I could and ran into his arms.
I cried into his shoulder and he hugged me tightly.

"Shh shh its okay, your okay." he said. "No, no... It's not okay... Nothings okay!" I screamed the last part.
"Shhh baby don't scream."

"Josh? Tyler? Whats going on? Are you okay Tyler?" I hear momma dun talking from behind me. "No." I sobbed. "Come on sweetheart lets go inside." she said rubbing my back slightly.

I grabbed my backpack out of the car and locked it before walking back over to Josh and letting him wrap his arms around me as we walked into the house.

Josh took me to the living room and sat down on the couch pulling me close to him as he rubbed my back and gently rocked us.

After a while of no one talking and me crying I spoke. "They hate me Josh." I croaked. "Who hates you?"

"My parents." I started crying again. "Oh.. Oh! You told them?" he asked and I nodded. "Oh Tyler sweetheart." momma dun sat next to me and rubbed my back as Josh hugged me.

"I don't know what to do... They kicked me out.... My dad hit me... I'm scared." I said. "Your going to stay with us... You don't need to be scared." momma dun said.

"Wait your dad hit you?" Josh said before I got to thank momma dun.
"Yes." I said shakily. "Mom can I have the car keys?" Josh asked through gritted teeth. "Why?"

"Just please give me the keys." he said trying to stay calm. "Josh what are you-" Josh cut me off. "Shh baby don't worry."

His mom gave him the keys and he gave me a kiss on the forehead. "Stay here with my mom I'll be back soon." he said before running out the door.

Momma dun gave me a worried look and hugged me.
