Rubik's Cube (Joshler)

Josh's POV ~

Tyler fell asleep while we were looking at the stars so I carried him back to the car, wrapped in the blanket so he wouldn't get cold.

I drove us home and carried him down to the room and set him on the bed. He stirred and made a little sound but he was still asleep. I kissed his forehead and quietly left the room.

I went into the living room where my mom and siblings were watching a movie. They paused it and looked at me. "So what happened? Where's Tyler? What did he say?" mom asked excitedly.

"He said yes and he's asleep. He fell asleep when we were at the lake." I said sitting next to my brother on the couch. "Tyler's a lucky guy Josh." Jordan said patting me on the back. "Yeah not as lucky as me though. I get to see him everyday."

"Is he still upset about this morning?" mom asked. "No he's okay.... I'm going to go grab a shower and head to bed." I stood up. "Alright see you in the morning." mom said then they all said goodnight, I got a shower and went to sleep.

"Josh?... Josh wake up." Tyler started shaking me. "What?" I groaned. He didn't answer. I opened my eyes and turned to look at him. He had tears streaming down his cheeks. "Whats wrong? Why are crying?" I asked pulling him against me tightly. "I had a bad dream."

"Shh your okay it was just a dream." I whispered. "Y-you left me in it and didn't come back and I went back to Melanie's then she left me too and I was alone and scared and I didn't know where to go then blurry came back and he made me do things and he said things to me." he wiped his eyes. "I would never leave you. Neither would Mel."

"I know... I'm going to change into something comfy." he said getting off the bed and over to the closet. He pulled out some red PJ pants and one of my sweaters and put them on.

He crawled back on the bed and curled up next to me after. I kissed the top of his head. "Go back to sleep. I'll be right here if you have another bad dream." I said hugging him closely. "I don't want to. I'm not tired."

"What do you want to do then?" I asked. "Go for a walk?" he asked looking up at me. "A walk?" I looked over at the clock. "It's 3 am."

"...and? I want to go for a walk." he said getting up and walking toward the door. "Your really set on this 3 am walk aren't you?" I asked and he nodded. I sighed and followed him, slipping on a sweater.

He linked his arm with mine and we were off walking through the streets at 3 am, with no particular destination. We talked and joked and at some point started singing as we ran down the road.

We didn't arrive back home til about 5 am. We quietly snuck back into the house and down to our room.

We weren't tired so we put a movie on with low volume and cuddled.

"I'm hungry." Tyler whined. "What do you want to eat?" I asked curling his hair around my finger. "Taco bell." he said seriously. "Taco bell at 6 am?" he nodded.

"I don't think they open til like 11." I said. "Taco bell needs to step up their game and open at 6am so I can have my morning tacos." he said causing me to lightly laugh.

"How about we make omelets?" I asked. "Hmmm okay." he agreed. We headed upstairs and gathered the things we would need trying to be as quiet as possible because everyone else was still sleeping.

We had all the ingredients in the pan and we were waiting for it to be ready to be flipped. Tyler was sitting on top of the counter. I wedged myself between his legs and rested my forehead against his, starring into his eyes.
