The Forest of Chakra

"Didn't you ask Sakura for help already, it's only fair if I help Sasuke don't you think," you said while resting your arm on Sasuke's shoulder. You got closer to Sasuke and started to whisper some advice while Naruto was pouring at the sight between you two.

Naruto's P.O.V.

Urgh Sasuke!! I won't lose to him and I won't let him start taking (Y/n) away from me. I feel this anger welling up inside me when I see them together. (Y/n) is someone that doesn't have a thing for Sasuke and if she were to then..I'd lose her to him.

I'll start training harder to catch up to (Y/n) and become stronger than Sasuke believe it!

Sasuke's P.O.V.

Despite me not wanting to admit that I needed advice I was grateful to (Y/n). When she got too close I wanted to back away but she held this certain warmth around her and she isn't like the other girls. She doesn't think of me like that but sometimes I want her to look my way to acknowledge my strength and me.

2nd person P.O.V.

It was getting darker and notified them that it was time to go back to Tazuna's house to have dinner.

*Timeskip*

During dinner Naruto and Sasuke were devouring their food rapidly but not until they started puking. You watched with distaste and lost your appetite at the sight.

"Excuse me this picture is torn is there a reason for that? Inari was glancing at it all through dinner, it looks like there was someone else in the picture but it was torn out," said Sakura as I felt the atmosphere become tense.

"It was her husband. They called him the hero of this land," said Tazuna but once Inari heard them taking about him and walked out.

Tazuna began to tell us who Inari's father was and about their past together.

Everyone suffers in life and we all experience pain but I feel sorry that Inari lost that happiness he once had.

After hearing his story Naruto wanted to go train more and prove to Inari that heroes do exist.

"Well if you want to train more then I'll accompany you. I'll watch over you and I want to train a little more too," you said while smiling at Naruto and looking at Kakashi for approval.

He agreed since he trusted you and you ran out of the house and continued your training for the night.

A few hours had gone by and you two were resting on the ground, panting for breath. You sat up and looked at Naruto still lying on the ground but then stared up at the night sky.

"(Y/n)." You turned your head as you heard Naruto call your name.

"Thank you...thank you for staying out here with me to train and help me become stronger. I appreciate that you're always there for me and helping me along the way," said Naruto as he gave you a warm smile.

You smiled back at him too and held onto his shoulder, "I want to be able to help you Naruto. I care about you and always will. I'll be here, right beside you to support you. I won't leave you alone."

Naruto became flustered at your words and did the unthinkable. He gave you a quick peck on the cheek as he sheepishly scratched the back of his head," It's my way of thanking you, I didn't know how else to repay you for everything you do."

You felt your cheeks heat up a little from his action but accepted the peck by giving him a nod.

Your eyes started feeling droopy and you lied back down as you quietly fell asleep on the ground outside beside Naruto.
