The Path of a Shinobi (Reader x various)

Tension

"Stop!" Teleporting in the middle of their attack you glanced at each one of them. Sakura was running towards you but before she could get in the way you made a shadow clone to withhold her from approaching any further.

"I'd rather have you guys attack me then hurt each other," you yelled out loud enough for them to hear. Their eyes widened as they tried to stop their attack but it was useless. Lowering your head you knew you could stop them with a jutsu of yours but maybe this would teach them something and help them realize to snap back to their senses.

Before their jutsu could clash with you, Kakashi Sensei stood in front of you acting as a shield. He grabbed both their wrists and swung them in the opposite direction.

"What were you all thinking? You all could've seriously been hurt," yelled Kakashi Sensei to all four of you. From a distance you could see the damage their jutsus have made to the water tanks. Walking towards Naruto you smacked him in the back of the head for agreeing to the fight they had.

"Don't give into Sasuke's remarks." Walking away from him you saw Sasuke jump over the fence and followed after him.

"What's wrong with you Sasuke? Why are you acting like this all of a sudden?"

"Hm. This doesn't concern you." Clenching his fists in anger he gritted his teeth and punched the wall. Stepping closer to him you heard him mumble," Just how far have you and Naruto gone to get stronger."

"Don't let this hatred consume you anymore." Turning away you jumped back up on the fence. Seeing you about to leave he he reached his hand out towards you but then slowly let it fall back to his side.

Giving him one last glance you headed back with Naruto. When you looked around you spotted Jiraiya Sensei talking with Kakashi Sensei. Leaving them alone to speak you walked towards Naruto and Sakura.

"Listen Sakura, (Y/n)....this is between us so stay out of it," said Naruto in a serious tone.

"We're your friends, so we have a right to meddle in this situation. Especially since we were willing to risk our life to stop you two." Looking him dead in the eyes you scoffed and began to walk away from the two. First it was Sasuke now Naruto is telling you to stay out of this. The nerve of those two when all you want to do is help them.

*Timeskip*

It was already dark out and you stood leaning against the small balcony outside your home. While looking out at the night sky you pondered about the memories and missions that you and your team have shared. Things were changing and you knew everything was bound to change in the present and future.

"Why is all this happening?" Resting your chin on your hand, a glum expression was visible on your face.

Life wouldn't remain everlasting and you didn't want your team to stray away from the bond you all formed. Sighing you felt chills run up your spine. There was an odd feeling in the village and you were curious as to why this ominous feeling suddenly appeared.

Shrugging the feeling away for the time being you went back inside once you heard a knock on your door. Walking over to the door you opened and there stood Naruto. Still a bit riled up from his words earlier you ignored the events that had occurred earlier.

Naruto had invited you to eat at Ichirakus with Sakura and you agreed with nothing better to do but also to cast aside your thoughts.

While the three of you were sitting down you noticed Sakura's quiet state. You could tell the events from earlier and Sasuke in general was clouding her mind.

"Try not to worry about Sasuke so much." Placing your hand on her shoulder you gave her a sincere smile to ease her worries. She hid away her worries with a fake smile.

Smelling the delicious aroma, you all slurped on your ramen but silence filled the air when you were all eating.

The two began to speak about Orochimaru and Sasuke but you didn't say a word about it. You were satisfied once you finished eating your bowl of ramen and decided to leave. Except for Naruto who kept on eating more bowls of ramen.

"Thank you for the food Teuchi." Waving goodbye to him you placed your money on the counter and exited Ichirakus with Sakura behind you.

"Hey Sakura let me walk you home." Denying his offer saying she'd be fine, she began to walk away leaving just the two of us.

"Well you can stay and keep eating I'll be on my way home," you said tiredly.

"Are you sure you'll be fine on your own?"

"Yes don't worry I can handle myself. I'll see you tomorrow, goodnight." Walking away he mumbled out a quiet goodnight until he ran back inside to eat more ramen.

Again while you were walking you felt shivers run up your spine and it wasn't a pleasant feeling you had. Slowly walking home a gust of wind blew by causing your (h/c) hair to dance in the wind. Placing a hand on your hair you noticed someone walking from a distance. That person seemed to be going in the direction of the main gates.

Slowly inching closer your eyes wondered a bit as you recognized that person as Sasuke but you found it odd that he was wearing a brown backpack. Concealing your chakra you began to follow him and you were indeed correct as he wasn't too far from the main gates.

From a distance you noticed Sakura walking from the opposite direction. Hiding behind a nearby tree you remained silent to eavesdrop on their conversation. It was mostly Sakura exclaiming remarks at Sasuke with Sasuke barely giving her answers. She began to reminisce about the past and there were tears streaming down her face.

You began to remember how everything all started. From the time you've met to the time in the academy along with the missions. Sasuke's choice to leave the village would be a turning point in all your lives.

"Seeking revenge won't bring anyone happiness. Not you. And not me. Neither (Y/n) or Naruto." Lowering your head you knew she was right but Sasuke wouldn't consider changing his mind. Peeking your head out a bit you saw him begin to take a few steps until Sakura began exclaiming her undying love for him.

"You're still so annoying. Either way I have someone else in mind that's better suited for me." He stared at her with an amused look as he thought of the one female that he was interested in.

Realizing what he said you began to wonder who that person was. Sure he showed a minuscule amount of affection towards you but you had your doubts about yourself. It broke Sakura's heart hearing those words escape his mouth but nonetheless she tried to stop him. In an instant he was behind her and knocked her unconscious. You watched as he set her lying down on the nearby bench.

It was time you made your presence known before it was too late. Stepping out from behind the tree, the moon was clouded by the dark, heavy clouds but a small ray of light shined down on you. Staring at the back of his jet black hair and his slow paced walk, it was decided that your plan would be to stop him from leaving the village no matter what.

"Sasuke."
