I took a glance at Lady Tsunade only to see her lost in thought with a saddened expression on her face. She must be feeling somewhat guilty about all this.
Naruto clicked his tongue and before he could turn around, he removed his hand from my shoulder and arm and grabbed my hand and pulled me with him towards door.
"Naruto! Where are you going and where are you taking (Y/n)?" Questioned Sakura, but Naruto dismissed her, not wanting to speak with her.
I glanced over my shoulder and firmly said, "Just leave us alone, Sakura. Please."
Naruto stopped in front of the door with his hand on the door handle. "If Pervy Sage has been the Fifth Hokage, he wouldn't let Granny Tsunade take such risks...Never!"
He turned the handle and opened the door and allowed me to exit the room first. Behind us, we could hear Sakura calling out our names, but Naruto slammed the door shut, blocking out her voice.
We silently walked down the hall hand in hand with him leading while I was a few steps behind. We reached the outside of the Hokage's Tower and the sun was hanging just above the horizon and had filled the sky with a warm orange and yellow glow but this scenery wasn't going to last long since dusk will soon be approaching.
We both stopped walking once we reached the gate just outside of the building and turned to face each other. By now, my eyes had returned to their normal (e/c).
"I know we should be there for each other during times like this, but right now, I just...want to be alone."
"Guess we're on the same page then," he said with a half forced smile as he let go of my hand. But truth be told, he didn't want to be completely alone.
"I guess I'll see you later or something." I took a few steps back as I gave him a wave goodbye.
"Yeah. See ya." He turned on his heel and shoved his hands in his pockets before walking away as I headed down a different path that would lead me home.
I didn't run into anyone that I knew on the way home and I was thankful for that. I didn't necessarily feel like talking with anyone at the moment and I didn't want to burden anyone with how I was feeling.
Once I got home, I went straight towards my room and threw myself on the bed, burying my face into my pillow.
I stayed lying in bed and gazing into oblivion for the past two hours feeling empty. I had turned to lie on my back and as I gazed up at the ceiling. I closed my eyes wanting to fall asleep to escape this harsh reality for awhile.
"Succumb to the pain."
I opened my eyes wide and let out a gasp. I jolted upright as I placed a hand on my temple, recognizing that female's voice.
"I can help you get rid of the pain if you let me take over."
'No!' I shook my head ridding myself of her voice and the grief that I was experiencing before I could succumb to her. I stayed sitting on my bed with my feet planted on the ground, waiting to hear her voice again, but it was gone.
I let out a sigh and covered my face with my hands. Of course she would call out to me during a time where I'm vulnerable. I can't let the eleven tails take control. I removed my hands from my face and placed them on the bed.
"I need some fresh air," I mumbled to myself as I got off the bed and went to rummage through my closet and yanked out a (f/c) sweater.
I left my home and saw that it was pretty dark outside. The only source of light that was illuminating the village and the streets were the shops, homes, and lampposts.
