Calvin POV
"Does anyone know where Cameron is?" I ask my friends. They all shake their heads "Seriously? No one?" I ask. No one answers "Remember what I said about you having a crush on him?" Brody says not looking up from his phone "Yeah." I sigh. He looks up from his phone "It's kinda obvious right now. Bro, you know we won't judge you." He says "I do not have a crush on him! I'm kinda tired of dating anyone." I tell him "Sure Dude." He chuckles and rolls his eyes. I groan and grab my phone from my back pocket "Are you calling him to tell him I found out about you two?" Brody laughs "I'm calling him to ask why he isn't in school." I tell him and walk away from my group of friends.

 I walk into the school still waiting for him to pick up the phone "Come on, pick up pick up." I say quietly into the phone. Voicemail. Of course! I tried calling him again, and again, and again. Voicemail every frickin' time! "What is it? Boyfriend's not picking up?" Brody asks looking up from his phone "For the last time! He is not my boyfriend! I do not have a crush on him! I just want to make new friends!" I tell him "Then why are you worrying about him so much?" He asks "Because he's my friend! Wouldn't you be worried if I didn't show up and didn't pick up my phone?" I ask him "Not really. I mean, you're a teenager, so is he by the way and teenagers like skipping school. It's too stressful. We should do it again soon now that I think about it." He says looking back at his phone.

I groan "Do you ever stop being annoying?" I ask him "No, I'm your best friend that's basically what I do." He says. I step closer to him "He's part of the group now. I'm just worried alright? What if something happened?" I say. He breaks eye contact to look at something behind me. I snap my fingers in front of him "Look at me, you have to make eye contact when you're talking to someone. So look at me when I am talking to you." I tell him. He looks back at me "Chill, your boyfriend just walked in. That's all." He says.I look over my shoulder and see Cameron walking into the cafeteria. I started to walk towards him. As I came closer, the sight of him became clearer as well. His eyes were red and puffy, his cheek was bruised and there was a little cut in his lip "Bro!" I say.

Cameron looks at me and smiles weakly "Hey Man, where were you all day? I was kinda worried about you." I tell him "I'm fine, Cal. Thanks for worrying though." He smiles. I put my hand on his shoulder "Are you sure you're alright, Buddy? Because you don't really look like you're alright." I tell him "I'm fine! No need to worry about me, nothing ever happens in my boring little life." He says chuckling slightly "But Dude, seriously. What happened?" I ask him "Just a little accident." He tells me "A-Are you sure? That sure doesn't look like that's just an accident." I say a little concerned "You can tell me you know, you can trust me." I tell him "Calvin, there are some questions that should not be asked. And this is one of them. Could you please leave me alone?" He asks me. I step aside and let him walk past me.

*Time Skip*

I left him alone for the rest of the day. Why was he so grumpy? Is he hiding something? Why would you hide something from your friends? We haven't been friends for years, I know that but he can trust me. I'm not a dick like Brody. "You look like you're worrying again. Why?" Brody asks "Because I am thinking about what's wrong with Cam. You saw what he looks like, what didn't happen because of a little accident." I tell him "You should stop worrying about your boyfriend. It could be an accident. So what? He's not dead or anything." He sighs. I groan "Dude, easy." He smirks. That's when we noticed a girl walking into the school. She had dark brown hair, a bright white smile and she wore a yellow dress. Brody smirked a little as she saw her "And I'm the..." He presses his finger against my lips "Shush, let the professional do the work." He smirks walking towards her. He started talking to her but she showed no sign of interest in him. I laughed a little as I saw him. Then she suddenly starts to smile and walks away in the middle of his sentence. I laugh as he stood there all alone, I stopped laughing when my eyes saw her hugging Cameron.
