"Are you sure you're alright?" Calvin asked Cameron. He nodded and smiled at him. "I'm fine. Thank you for worrying about me, but it's not necessary." He assures Calvin.
The two boys walked into the school together. For once, it wasn't as if hundreds of people were staring at him. For once in all these months he has been here he felt like he belonged here. They walked towards their lockers, grabbed their books, and walked to class together. As they were walking to class, Cameron got a flashback to his first day here.Once we arrived at my locker, he helped me with opening it. I put some books in it and closed it again. Calvin smiled a little "Alright, let's go to your new timetable." He says. We walk to a lady who was walking by "Ms. White, could you maybe help us out? You see my friend over here is new and he has to get his timetable." He tells her
"A new student? Wonderfull! If you two would walk with me please." She says. Calvin smiles and walks after her. I follow him, 'I wonder why he's so nice towards me. He doesn't even know me. Alright Cameron, stop those thoughts! Cut them off!
There aren't just bad people in the world. Remember, new life, new friends.' I think to myself. We walk into an office where she opens a drawer and gets out a file. She hands it to me "There you go dear, I think Mr. Clayton will help you a little bit on your first day." She smiles
"Thank you, Ma'am," I say. Calvin and I walk out of the office and look at my time table "Hey, we have a lot of classes together!" Calvin smiles
'That makes me more comfortable, knowing Calvin is in my classes means I probably don't have to sit alone all day.' I think "Don't worry bro, I've got your back. Just follow me." He tells me. I nod "You're not much of a talker are you?" He asks
"I'm kinda nervous around new people, I always have been." I say quietly "Don't worry bro. I'll be there the whole time." He tells me"What are you smiling at?" Calvin asked him snapping him out of his thoughts. Cameron smiled and shrugged. "My first day here. Flashback." He tells him. "Don't zone out too often, I'm going to need you to get through this day," Calvin tells him. "Oh really? I thought you were able to get through your days just fine without me." Cameron smirked at him.
Calvin chuckled and wrapped his arms around Cameron's neck and rested them on his shoulders. "That was different." He tells him. He kissed his lips briefly making both boys smile. "You're cute," Calvin whispered.
"I could say the same thing about you," Cameron said and pulled him closer by his hips. They were about to kiss when Brody and Felix interrupted them.
"Look at you two! Felix, you still owe me ten bucks!" Brody said as he stood between the two boys wrapping his arms around their shoulders. "Oh shut it! One more day and I would've won the bet." Felix complained. Calvin glared at his friends.
"You two made a bet?" He asked them.
Brody nodded and smiled at them. "When you and David got together, and dumbass over here realized he was in love with you, we made a bet on how long it would take you guys to get together," Brody explained to them. "I thought you and David weren't a thing," Cameron said in confusion as he looked at Calvin. "We aren't," Calvin tells him.
Brody glanced down at his best friend. "That's not what you told us, man." He said, "You said 'David and I are a thing now. We're going out tomorrow and the day after that so we can't hang out. Sorry'." He added. "No, I didn't." Calvin tried to lie.
Cameron glared at Calvin. "Calvin!" Cameron complained. Brody let go of the two boys and took a step back. "Alright, yes we were a thing, but that's no more. I'm with you now." Calvin assures Cameron. "So he was just a hook-up?" Cameron asked him. Calvin nodded quickly. "He was nothing special! I swear!" He tells Cameron.
"Nothing special?" Someone next to them said. All four boys snapped their heads towards the sound. David was standing right there. Though he didn't look sad, he looked angry. "David! Nice to see you here!" Brody said sarcastically.
David glared at him which caused Brody to glance down at his feet and shut up. "David, I am so sorry-" Calvin started but got cut off by David slamming him into the lockers. David held Calvin up by his collar.
"You shouldn't mess with me, Calvin. You know I can get very, very angry." He said. Calvin nodded quickly. "I-I know." He stuttered. No one else dared to step in, cause David was taller than them, and probably a lot stronger as well.
"You're just as dumb as he said you were. I can't believe I was so stupid to date his ex. Well, my bad I guess." David said and let go of Calvin.
"Must be a rather fucked up family you have then," Calvin said quietly. David chuckled until he turned around and punched Calvin in his face a couple of times. He stopped once Calvin's nose started to bleed.
"That's what you get." He said. He turned around and bumped into Cameron.
"What do you want, shorty?" He asked him. Cameron smiled at him for a second before punching David. He fell to the floor. He groaned and grabbed his nose, which started bleeding. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" David yelled at him.
Cameron grabbed his collar and pulled David up. "That's my boyfriend. Touch him again, and you're dead. Got it?" Cameron asked him. David nodded quickly.Cameron handed Calvin some toilet paper. Calvin smiled a little and pushed the paper against his nose. "Thanks...for all of this." He said. Cameron sat next to Calvin on the floor. "You would've done the same." He tells him.
There was a short silence until Camero spoke up again. "Who was he talking about? Your ex?" Cameron questioned. Calvin sighed and leaned his head against the wall behind them.
"Yeah, his step-brother," Calvin answered,
"We broke up a couple of months ago, about a month or two before you came here actually." He tells him. "What happened between you two?" Cameron asked him. Calvin sighed.
"You know that club we took you to when Brenna cheated on you?" He asked him. Cameron nodded slowly. "He often took me there. It was kinda like...our thing." Calvin tells him,
"After a while, he started to ask me to dance for him. In the club.
More people wanted me to dance for them. I was forced to dance in on stage like I was some sort of object." Calvin tells him. "Really?" Cameron asked and scooted a little closer to him.
"It was just for a couple of nights. I told him that I didn't want to do that any longer. He immediately got me out of there. He thought I enjoyed it but regretted it when I told him I didn't. He was very sweet to me. At least I thought so. Turns out he made some...pictures and videos of me when I was sleeping. He showed them to his friends. When I found out, I broke his phone and computer. This caused him to get angry and break up with me. I loved him, I thought he was the one. Guess we all make mistakes." Calvin said. "Cal, I'm so sorry for you," Cameron said. Calvin smiled at him. "Don't worry about it. Though my parents don't know, and I would appreciate it if they never found out." Calvin tells his boyfriend. Cameron nodded. "Of course. Come here." He said. Calvin crawled closer to him and sat between Cameron's legs. Cameron kissed Calvin's head and holds him tightly.Later that day, Cameron glanced at himself in the mirror. "You're very smart, Cameron Anderson." He said to his reflection. He smirked at himself. "Everything's going just as planned. Revenge is oh so sweet." He whispered to himself,
"And poor Calvin won't even see it coming." He said. He then chuckled a little. "Poor...little...Calvin Clayton." He said. As Cameron talked to himself in the mirror, he didn't realize there was someone else in the bathrooms with him. Brody had hidden in one of the stalls and overheard every word he said. Every word.
