"cmon Kat let's go"
I said picking her up. Kat, Katherine is mine and y/n's daughter. She just turned two, yes she was an accident but she's the best thing that's ever happened to us. It was hard at the beginning because y/n and I had only been dating for a few months so we had to learn how to be parents but built a strong relationship at the same time but we did it and we're doing amazing.
Y/n had to go on a business trip for a week so I was taking care of Kat on my own. The guys and I were doing an interview so we had to meet at our management office. I was holding her in my arms as I walked into the office. She said hi to everyone, I stopped and talked to a few of them.
I saw the guys and our manager in a meeting room so I joined them. They all said hi to Kat, playing with her for a bit as I chatted with them.
When the film crew was ready we went upstairs where the studios were and got our mics, I bent down to Kat.
"daddy needs to do an interview, you're gonna stay with (manager name) ok? be good"
she nodded and continued looking at the picture book I took so she would be entertained.
We all got seated and the questions started, after a bit I looked over and saw Kat with a frown on her face. She started fussing around and making noise, we all looked over and the interviewer chuckled.
"so that's Katherine"
"yup"
then she started crying
"sorry give me a minute"
I got up and went over, I picked her up and calmed her down. She put her tiny arms around my neck and wouldn't let go, she yelled every time I tried to put her down which made the guys laugh.
"is it ok if I continue with her"
they told me it was ok so I went and sat back down with her.
"hi Katherine"
she chuckled and waved, I smiled and kissed her cheek.
"so here we are with the sixth member"
"she's definitely the only that can sing"
Zach said making everyone laugh. As he continued asking questions she stopped paying attention and leaned her head on my shoulder, I smiled rubbing her back. The interview ended and the guy chatted to us for a bit.
"she's so cute how old is she?"
"i know, she just turned two"
"mama"
I looked down at her, she pointed her finger somewhere repeating what she said. I looked up at the door and saw y/n walking in. I smiled and put Kat down, she ran over and I followed walking behind her. Y/n hugged her tightly kissing her cheeks.
"hi baby! did you have a fun time?"
she nodded giggling, y/n looked up and smiled at me. She touched my cheek and kissed me.
"hey love, I thought you were coming back tomorrow"
"hi, We did what we had to do quicker than excepted so I wanted to surprise you"
"I love you"
I said hugging her.
"I love you more, I missed you two"
"We missed you more"
I said and kissed her. She said hi to the rest of the guys and we all talked for a bit before we left. Kat had fallen asleep on her shoulder in the meantime.
"do you have your car?"
"no I took an uber here from the airport"
"oh ok"
I took her hand and we got in my car and drove home. We hung out the whole evening, I told her about the interview and Kat showed her her drawings.
"that's beautiful baby"
she said and went to put her to bed, I went on my phone, scrolling randomly when I saw a picture from our interview, I immediately saw fans making edits and saying how cute Kat was. I reposted the picture on my instagram.
"welcome to our 6th band member ;) I love you baby Kat"
I went up to our room, we got ready for bed and cuddled.
"I missed you"
"I missed you too"
I rubbed her cheek sweetly and kissed her, we pulled back when we heard the neighbours' dog barking really loudly. After he didn't stop for a few seconds I sat up with, y/n quickly doing the same.
"weird, he usually doesn't bark for that long"
she whispered, I stood up and went to the window, I pulled the curtain back just a tad. I saw a random black car with their headlights on parked in the street. y/n joined me and we saw a man get out of the car and walk down the sidewalk slowly.
We watched him carefully, I just had a bad feeling. Suddenly Kat started crying, y/n stood up and went to get her. She came back with Kat in her arms and locked our bedroom door. She sat on the bed trying to calm her.
"is he still there?"
"yeah he's just walking back and fourth"
he then started to look at our house, fuck this. I grabbed my phone and called the police and my security. I told y/n to come sit with me so I could comfort them but watch him aswell. Kat was sniffing at the point, I took her in my arms and comforted her. I held y/n's hand in mine seeing she was worried. He started walking up and down our driveway looking into our cars. I gave Kat to y/n and grabbed the bat under our bed. I walked over to the door.
"you're not going down there Corbyn!"
"just in case something happens"
"no love please stay, they should be here soon"
I went back over to them and continued to watch the random man. About two minutes later the police finally showed up, they got him as he tried to run away. My security also arrived a few minutes later. Some more police offers knocked on the door.
I went downstairs and opened the door, I talked to the officers for a few minutes.
"he's a sex offender on probation, he's not allowed to be anywhere neat here-"
"Corbyn"
I turned around and saw y/n and Kat. I walked over to them, as I did so I saw y/n with tears streaming down her face. I hugged her tight and whispered to her.
"it's ok love, we're all safe, he's arrested"
"I was really scared"
"I know, me too"
I made a sign for my security guard to take Kat, they've known each other all her life and she really likes him so we're comfortable doing so. I held y/n and made her feel better, the officer comforted us, we reported him and they left.
"will you stay over"
"yes of course"
I asked our guard, he told Kat goodnight and he went into our guest bedroom which was close to the security closet which had access to all the cameras.
All three of us got in bed, we needed to know Kat was ok so we let her sleep with us. I held both of them in my arms waiting for them to fall asleep. I didn't sleep much that night but was grateful we were safe and together.
