I slowly opened my eyes waking up from my deep slumber, I looked at the clock and it read 2:18. After wondering why I was awake for a few seconds I heard a guitar. I looked over and saw y/n outside on our balcony playing.
Her figure was lit up by the multiple strings of fairy lights she had insisted on hanging up when we moved in. I sat up and listened to her for a few minutes, she rarely plays infront of people and when she does it's just for me because I ask her too.
I eventually decided to go out and sit with her, I put on a hoodie and sweatpants before opening the door, she looked up and saw me.
"oh hi, did I wake you up? i'm sorry"
"hi beautiful, it's fine, it sounds great"
"thank you"
"continue"
I said sitting down, she smiled and started playing again. I just listened and watched her play with compete talent and grace. After a minute I got my phone out and recorded her for a few seconds. I put my phone away again and just enjoyed being in the moment.
She finished and looked up at me smiling, I smiled and kissed her softly.
"i'm so lucky"
"no i'm the lucky one, sorry again I woke you up"
"don't worry, you can wake me up like this anytime"
we both smiled and shared another sweet kiss, I took her hand and we went back into the room, she put the guitar down as I got in bed, she joined me and hugged me, I did the same and kissed her head.
"goodnight bubba"
"goodnight beautiful"
