Calvin POV
"How's Charlie feeling?" Brody asks "I thought you didn't like her." I say and look at him "I never said that." he says "She's fine. Thanks for asking." I smile. I look at him and see that he hasn't removed his eyes from the screen, not once! "Dude, what are you doing on your phone all the time?" I ask him "None of your business." He tells me "Come on, what are you hiding there?" I laugh and try to look on his phone. He quickly pushes his phone against his chest "Don't you have something better to do?" He asks "Nope." I say and grab his phone out of his hands. He tries to snatch it out of my hands. I quickly stand up and run away "Get back here Little Rat!" Brody yells behind me. I laugh and unlock his phone.
I stop running as soon as I see what he has been doing all this time. I turn around and look at him "Seriously?" I say. He snatches his phone out of my hands and avoids eye contact "Don't say anything." He says "YOu should really stop doing that, ya know." He says "Why? If I know my best friend is hiding something from me I would like to know what he's been hiding. Come on Dude, are you really that desperate?" I ask him. He looks down at his feet really guilty "It's just that...I've been alone for what? Four months?" He says "Do you remember when I used to have a new girlfriend every month!" "Maybe the girls are very aware of your stupid games now. That's why they don't love you like they used to." I explain. He sighs and looks back into my eyes "You don't ever miss the time when we used to be free and not worrying about girls?" He asks. I laugh softly "Right, boys and girls." He corrects
*Time Skip*
Cameron POV
My phone vibrates quietly on my nightstand. I pick it up and look on the screen to see a pop-up text notification from Calvin
Calvin😜:
Hey, Brody's feeling a bit down so I asked the other guys if they could come over. Wanna join?
You:
I'm not sure, Brenna's already asleep and so are my parents
Calvin😜:
Oh, come on, Dude! It will be so much fun!
You:
I don't know Dude,
my parents won't like it
Calvin😜:
Please? For Brody?
You:
Alright...I guess
Calvin😜:
Sweet! They don't have to know. Don't worry Dude. I'll pick you up in twenty minutes
I carefully get out of bed, trying not to wake Brenna. I sneak to my closet and grab a white hoodie and some jeans. I'm trying to be as quiet as possible. I sneak out of my room and close the door "Cammy?" I hear a whisper from behind me. I turn around and see Clarke standing there hugging her little Teddy Bear "What are you doing up?" I ask her and get on my knees. She walks towards me "I couldn't sleep." She says and rubs her eyes. She walls towards me and opens her arms. I smile and take her into my arms "Where are you going?" She asks quietly "Nowhere." I tell her "You are. Don't lie." She pouts "I'm going to Charlie's brother." I tell her "Why?" She asks "I'll tell you tomorrow but you have to go to sleep." I say and pick her up taking her back to her room. I tuck her in and kiss her forehead "Clarke, could you maybe not tell Mom, Dad or Brenna about this?" I ask her. She nods and kisses my cheek "Love you, Cammy." She says "Love you too. Now go to sleep." she nods and closes her eyes.
*Time Skip*
I carefully close and lock the door behind me. I saw Calvin waiting in a car, but I don't remember him owning a car of his own, oh well. I stepped into the car "Nice car." I say "Thanks, it's my dad's." He says "You borrowed it? And he agreed?" I asked chuckling quietly "He doesn't exactly know..." He says "You stole your father's car?" I ask him "Of course I did. He doesn't need to know." He smirks "But..." I start but Calvin cuts me off "Are we really going to talk about a car I 'borrowed'?" He chuckles "No." I answer. He starts the car and starts to drive towards his house. We didn't say a word to each other, I think it has something to do with that kiss...well it wasn't exactly a kiss, our lips never touched. I do have the feeling that it's standing between us. Eventually, I decided to speak "Any idea why Brody's feeling down?" I ask him "He's lonely and desperate. He needs a girl in his life, so he went online and hooked up with well...a prostitute...and he kinda loves her." He answers "Wow." I say "Yeah, I told him that he has to find someone that really loves him. So I told her to stay away from Brody and stole some of his money back for him." He tells me. I look at him "What is it with you and stealing?" I ask him. His eyes meet mine before looking back at the road "What did mommy and daddy always tell you stealing's bad? Ow, you'll learn." He says.
