"Yah!" Kai was lifted above the water by the dolphin he had been playing around with. His strengthening arms wobbled to the sides and his wings flapped as he tried to balance himself while standing with one foot on the dolphin's nose.

Sadly, Kai lost his balance and splashed back into the ocean, making ocean water hydrate Soobin's scales as he watched the show while laying on a rock, the gently rays bathing his scales with the warmth of the morning's sunshine.

After a minutes of anticipation and few nudges from the dolphin, Kai erupted from the water. His mouth opened wide as he gasped for air before clumsily swimming towards Soobin's roxk, the dolphin gently nudging him upwards to make sure he wouldn't drown.

"That was pretty impressive, babe." Soobin winked at him, his hand stretching to grab Kai's before hailing his onto the rock.

"Oh, hush." Kai rolled his eyes, containing a small giggle of embarrassment. He waited a little for Soobin to sit down and immediately claimed his rightful place on the older's lap, letting Soobin wrap his arms around his waist and place a peck on his shoulder.

"Aww, you know I'm kidding~" Soobin pouted and rubbed his cheek against Kai's, not wasting time to shower the younger with affection. "You're not as scared of the ocean as you ust to." He then kissed Kai's cheek and rested his chin on the younger's shoulder. "It makes me proud."

Kai smiled slightly, his gaze fixed on the pretty body of water. The ocean's waves crashed against one another, the sun's light reflecting against its blue majestic waters, making it seem as if tiny crystals were growing between the snow-white foam.

As the ocean twinkle before him, Kai couldn't help but to finally admit how beautiful the ocean was, specially when within that twinkling surface, there laid a whole world submerged between its waters.

It really felt weird to think that Kai had been scared of such beautiful sight.

The younger leaned against Soobin's chest and placed his hands over the older's. "Well, I can't be scared of everything I come across, can I? Being petrified won't do me no good." He admitted, closing his eyes. "It would've never let me enjoy the beautiful things that lie hidden on this island," He let out a tiny giggle and continued a bit more shyly, his voice growing quiet. "Or you."

Soobin's eyes flew open. Not knowing if he heard Kai well, he opened his mouth to ask the younger to repeat that sentence for him again, but he got cut off as a seagull flew near them, its beak carrying two notes made out of cut pieces of palm leaves carefully rolled up.

"Hey, look. It's your cousin—"

"Soobin, I'm this close to throwing this promise bracelet into the ocean—"

"No, don't! I spent an eternity chasing after that pearl!"

The couple stood up as the seagull settled itself onto the rock and offered them the two hand-made letters. Kai took them from the bird, but once he saw the fine print of Yeonjun's handwriting, he looked over at Soobin with a cute smile of embarrassment. Soobin immediately got the message and took the letters from Kai so he could read them.

"Okay. . . This one's for San, hold on." The siren put two of his fingers into his mouth before letting out a loud, almost ear-raking whistle that sent the faraway birds into a panic-flight, their screeches being almost as loud as Soobin's call. After a few minutes, Soobin crouched down with the letter until the pretty face of a dolphin appeared from the water and squeaked at him.
