(A/N: Before we begin, I want to say that, since there is more than one "flashback chapter," I will label each chapter with a decimal point and a  "~"  symbol just in case anyone wants to skip the chapters and get back to the main storyline after all chapters are published. . . Which I don't recommend, but I write the story for fun whether or not you wanna read it. You have free will too so use it as you please!! :D)

(Enjoy your read, cutie pies ^3^)

Death is a confusing and mysterious topic, no creature could truly grasp the thought until it came to that very moment.

What was death?

And how did it feel like to be someone who could no longer live, could no longer experience life in the same way that other creatures would, could no longer call themselves living? After all, life was a delicacy that should be enjoyed as it was by living in the mere moment of it, without caring what might happen or whether or not the decisions you make matter.

Yet. . . The only thing Yeonghon could do was worry, even if she herself had no longer the privilege to call herself living.

Stars twinkled above in the sky as the atmosphere changed from pitch black to a more navy color with a blended shade of indigo and purple. Unlike the reality of Yeonghon, this night sky had no soul; no birds flying, no fireflies, and no owls hooting at one another. The nightly melody was absent, turning the tranquility of silence into eeriness.

Yeonghon felt uncomfortable as she gazed down at her walking feet and how they softly sunk against the dry, pale sand of the moon. She was dying and couldn't do anything about it at this moment. All her dreams were going to be shattered and forgotten; being the greatest warrior alongside her sister, trying to become a head warrior to her tribe, and, maybe if her fate had allowed it, eventually be her tribe's next leader.

Her eyes darkened and she suddenly came to a stop as her delicate fingers turned into fists.

Eclipse, who'd been walking in front of her paused too. He turned his body slightly and his gaze fell upon her. "What are you doing? You still have a long way to go," Then his gaze narrowed. "You don't believe that just stopping in these lands will prevent you from dying, will it?"

"I'm not gonna die," Yeonghon growled stubbornly, her gaze still fixed on her feet. "I'm not gonna go anywhere unless that place is where my tribe is." She then lifted her head, showing what she had tried to conceal as her eyes shone brightly with grieving tears.

That same stubborn growl then turned into a desperate plea as she thought about the future she'd lose. . . About the sister, she'd lose. "T-There's so much I have to do. Please, I can't die. Not like this!" As her tears began to fall from her face, she sniffled. "There's something you can do, please. . . I can't. . . I don't want to die!"

As the deceased warrior pleaded to him, Eclipse couldn't do anything but gaze back at her. It was true. . . She wasn't dying, she still could be saved if the little apprentice that sent her here had enough time to heal her. But this naive soul didn't need to know that detail, not when she possessed a kind of power that made Eclipse's soul become sickly attached to hers.

He could use her.

Yeonghon saw how Eclipse's eyes shone as something flashed through them, interest maybe? She scanned his face, hoping that he'd have mercy on her and let her go back. Eclipse's lip twitched slightly before letting out a defeated sigh. "Fine, you win." He said, dropping his shoulders and closing his eyes. "I'll let you go back. . ."
