"Help! Help!" A high pitched cry was heard all around the facility.

Kai ran as fast as he could, his legs were starting to hurt and his hair was drawn back as he sped down the hall. His now fully-developed wings flailing clumsily behind him and slowing him down.

Without second thoughts, he ran into the steaming shower room where Taehyun and Beomgyu were located. His heart was racing faster than his bolts of lightning and he felt like he was about to pass out at any minute given, but he endured it. Soobin needed him, he was his only hope of surviving.

A guard tried to stop him, but Kai sent him flying after giving him an electric shock as soon as he dared to touch him. But then he got sad at hurting the dude, so he gave the guard a heartfelt apology and then pushed him into the janitors' room before taking off.

"Hyung!"

"What?!" Both Taehyun and Beomgyu turned their heads towards him; their hair was damped and their bodies were covered with towels after they had finished their shower together. Suddenly, Taehyun noticed Kai's legs starting to tremble, so he dropped his towel and caught Kai between his arms as his legs gave way.

"S-Soobin! Poison! Monsters!" Kai blabbered rapidly, his tears coming down like a river at the thought of his precious friend's life getting stripped away as easily as Yeonjun's. "They're going to kill him! They're going to kill him!"

Taehyun and Beomgyu looked at each other, their wide eyes shone with the same horror and fear that reflected upon Kai's voice. "Where is he at?" The younger of the two asked Kai, his eyebrows knitted and his voice now growing urgent at the new severity of the situation.

"L-Lab room. Come on, hurry!" Kai grabbed Taehyun's hand, now ready to hurl him away, but before he could take off, one of the guards took hold of him. And like a small broken feather, Kai was harshly slammed against the floor while he screamed and kicked as his wings were suddenly being pulled, sending waves of pain all over his spine. 

"Kai!" Taehyun cried with terror, he was about to throw himself at the guard who dared hurt his friend, but his body was easily immobilized and pressed against the floor too as two other guards grabbed onto him as soon as they had found out his intentions.

Beomgyu's eyes widened with horror at the sight. His memories and past trauma were triggered as memories flowed into his mind and suddenly drowned him:

Yeonjun was holding him tightly as guards neared them, the older kept telling him that everything would be alright and that nothing was going to happen as Beomgyu whimpered with fear. 

But those words faded away like an echo as tranquilizers flew into the air like arrows and sank into Yeonjun's fair skin like daggers, sending him into a deep and deadly slumber before being dragged away from Beomgyu. 

The younger had cried for them not to take Yeonjun away, but the younger's pleas were not heard as he was pressed against the floor and immobilized while watching how Yeonjun was being taken away from him.

After that day, he never saw Yeonjun again. . . He never got to hug him again. . . He never got to kiss him again. . . He never got to tell him he loved him. . . And it was all these bastards' fault.

Beomgyu's irises became mere slits similar to a cat's, his hazel brown gaze turned the color of flames as his whole body began to tense. Back then, he had been a weak creature that knew nothing about the capacity of his powers. Back then, he had let them rip his love away from him, but now. . . He was 18 and he wasn't going to let these pests rip away the lives of his precious friends.
