A/N: That's how Soobin looks like ^^^ (I wasn't kidding when I said he looks like a fish-)

Also, I can add more character designs/headshots t the end or beginning of my chapters if you guys feel like it :P

"You guys do know what this means. . . Right?"

Every stare shifted towards Taehyun as the 17-year old examined the two swan-like wings that had grown on Kai's back.

"They're already planning on replacing Soobin." Beomgyu realized, his gaze filled with horror as he grasped Soobin's shoulders. "Soobin they know."

Kai began to panic. "They do know!" He began to gasp, another panic attack threatening to pierce his heart. "Guys. . . . GUYS, SOMEONE HOLD ME-"

Taehyun grabbed Kai and hugged him as tightly as he could, he patted Kai's back and brushed his curly dark hair to soothe him. "Shh, it's okay. . . Just breathe."

"In and out, just like we taught you." Beomgyu murmured softly before joining in by softly brushing Kai's shoulder when the youngest began to whimper.

Soobin let out a sigh. His gaze traveled and focused on his falling scales. They flickered off and carelessly flew into the air for a few seconds before falling down as easily and gently as snow in a small distant hill.

A few droplets of blood followed his scales' fate, triggering the memory of Kai breaking down during their shower together. His cheeks had puffed up and his delicate nose had turned red and runny. The pretty doe eyes that had always shone with admiration and affection had become dark and filled with enough tears to fill up an ocean.

Three months had passed since then, he had felt fine but now the experiments had increased and the falling of his scales had gotten worse. . . His food portions had gotten smaller and smaller, he used to be fed tuna and sardines with dry pieces of bread, but now they had him starving. He'd grown so weak and light-headed. . . So much that he had almost fainted once.

But he wasn't going to say that to his friends. . . I mean, have you seen how sensible Kai is? He wouldn't be able to take it in! And Beomgyu? The kid was still healing from losing the person that they had all called their best friend. And Taehyun wouldn't be able to put up with Kai and Beomgyu all by himself, he was still a baby himself. . . A very tall and strong baby. . . BUT STILL A BABY.

They couldn't know, he just needed to reassure them instead of making them panic. . . After all, Yeonjun had always reassured them throughout their darkest times together. . . He needed to be that kind of brother to these three as well.

"Guys, calm down. I'm fine-" As if a matter of pure coincidence, the sea-like boy stopped mid-through his sentence and clutched his stomach when a huge pain attacked him. As soon as he felt something coming up his throat, Soobin couldn't help but to bend his back and let everything out.

Like someone would guess. . . This actually did everything, BUT reassure the three younger boys when they saw their friend vomiting right in front of them. Dark and strange liquid painted the wooden flooring of their dorm, Soobin gagged and wheezed and his body jerked multiple times to dispose of the toxins that had been inserted into him.

Soobin coughed before his knees gave way; he panted and gasped, his stomach felt like it was being perforated and ripped open by a thousand tedious daggers, the pain was so unbearable that the only thing Soobin had been able to do was to fall to the side.

"S-Soobin!" Kai whined, hopping off his bed alongside his two friends before catching Soobin between his arms. He sat down crisscrossed and placed the older's head on his lap and tapped his cheek to keep him from ending up unconscious.

Soobin let out a last cough before closing his eyes, breathing in and out harshly. ". . . N-Nevermind. . ." He finally rasped to everyone's dismay.

Taehyun, Beomgyu, and Kai looked at each other.

Taehyun sighed and crouched down beside Kai as the feathered boy brushed Soobin's hair and softly placed a few 'get better' kisses on the older's face to soothe him.

"That's enough evidence. . . You'll end up as dead as Yeonjun soon. . ."

A wave of silence embraced them; uncertainty and the same fearful tension began to fill their small dorm at the mention of the dead 17-year old.

"Hey- Don't look at me like that!" Taehyun snapped. "You guys know it's the truth! They got rid of Yeonjun when he got too dangerous and now, and after they get rid of Soobin. . ." He gazed at Kai, his gaze speaking the words that sent a very chilling message all around the dorm room.

Everyone stayed silent, the harsh reality of their situation hitting them harder than the lab men during the painful experiments.

"Then. . ." Beomgyu bit his lip before looking up at his friends. "Should we run away?"

Teehee, we're getting there, my angels! These boys are about to SNAP. But yeah, I need to put in some drama before that happens because I need to make this entertaining :V

Hopefully you guys re enjoying the ride so far, I may or may not hit you with a second update, but who knows!
