Death was near; that was one fact that Toto, even if the prophecy had predicted it, didn't want to accept.

And he wasn't the only one who didn't want to accept it. . .

When noon finally strolled by, the sky continued to weep in the form of a monsoon. The trees rattled as the winds crashed against them while birds hid from the rain by sheltering themselves inside the dug-up holes in the trees. The same cheerful monkeys that had once jumped from one tree to another were quiet and trembling with cold, their pelts sticking to their skin as they desperately sought shelter from the grieving island.

Rain thundered against the ground and the den, making the ears of a fallen warrior twitch.

Darkness surrounded him amongst the limbo he'd been wandering in, tumbling over purple poppies and the violet leaves of a crying tree. He fooled around like a small toddler, trying to ignore the harsh decision of whether or not to wake up one more time and face the pain he'd encounter. . . Or leave with the light of a few fireflies to a place where he wouldn't have to bear any more of this agony.

The warrior reached forward to the little insects, but as soon as that bright shine came closer to him, he froze when he heard the eerie sounds that brought those violet leaves to the ground. His ears twitched at the unfamiliar yet distinct noise- something that you'd categorize as a sniffle, which echoed all around within the space that the warrior was in. A growing concern overpowered his hunger to be selfish for once, making the wandering warrior turn away from the fireflies and begin to run. He ran away from the light and ventured into the abysmal darkness; where the sounds of crying began to get louder and louder.

Yeonjun opened his eyes.

Fatigue engulfed him as he tried to blink away the darkness and as he tried to adjust to the lighting of the den he was in. He opened his mouth and took in a big breath; something that made his thorax ache with an immense amount of pain. Yeonjun bit back a groan, turning his head to the side when the sound made his ears twitch once more.

And when he turned, the aching within him increased; not because of his physical pain, but because of the little one huddled at the side of the den, his back turned to Yeonjun as he cried and mumbled to himself.

"Why can't I do it. . .?" Taehyun suddenly let out, a light sob choking him as he sank his fingers into the dirt and gripped it tightly. A small stem grew from his hand, but the frustration within him made the little plant wither, curling painfully as it turned intot ge color of gray. "I've done it before, why can't I do it now?" His tone was filled with frustration, and his back was curved tragically as he looked at his hands with nothing but rage. "What am I good for if I can't heal him?!"

There was something the color of scarlet running down one of Taehyun's wrists; marks he'd made upon himself as soon as he had found that- similarly to Soobin's case, his powers were making no effect on the worst of his Hyung's injuries.

And as soon as Yeonjun's eyes saw that small stream of blood, he couldn't help but to move his arms to the side and try to lift himself up, his instincts urging him to ignore his pain once again to comfort the younger. "T-Taehyun?" He croaked, feeling as if fire began to spread from the inside of his body as he sat up, his arms supporting him as they rooted onto the ground. The only thing he could move or feel was the upper part of his body, if he wasn't able to see if his legs were still miraculously attached to him, he'd be convinced that someone had amputated them. "Taehyun. . . What are you d-doing?"
