The Next Element

Zeus' POV:

Back in the village, I'm currently staying in lilith's house, sitting in her sofa while waiting for her to come back, I could feel myself getting better.

That memory I had just recalled earlier, maybe that was nothing, all I have to do is forget about that... Yeah, then probably, I'll soon get over him.

"Zeus? Here, take a sip of this water" turning my head into lilith's kitchen, I saw her with a glass filled with water on her hands.

She then approached me and placed the glass right at the table near me.

"Thank you Lilith"

"You're welcome zeus, so are you feeling better now"

"I am, thanks for your concern"

"Of course, although zeus, I hope you don't mind me asking this but um... What exactly happened to you earlier?" Lilith turned her head to the side waiting for me to answer her.

"Oh that? That was nothing, I just got a simple headache, that's all"

"Yeah but that's not how you usually act when you have a headache"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, when you have a headache, or so I think, you always let it go and continue spending your time with me and the children, but earlier, you almost passed out, is something giving you stress?"

Her gaze on me looked so troubled, I can't leave her hanging like this.

Letting out a sigh, I took hold of both of her hands.

"Lilith, there's nothing you should be worried about me, okay, maybe I was a bit stressed, but that's just that, don't stress yourself as well, even if something does happen to me, I can handle it"

I can see her eyes, a tear slowly  crawling down her face.

"Oh don't cry lilith, I promise I'll be fine"

"Just make sure that zeus... I don't know what I'll do if something does happen to you!" I pulled her gently on to me and hugged her.

"Now, now, stop crying lilith" I rubbed her back and placed a soft kiss on her cheeks.

"I love you zeus"

"I love you too, lilith"

Back at the village playground, both me and lilith were watching over the little kids having fun like they were our kids.

I guess falling in love with lilith is another step in making me F̵̲̉o̴̤̚r̴g̴̝̀e̴̤͋t̵̢̂...

"It brings joy to my heart seeing those kids run around, laugh and play, not worrying a single thing" I heard lilith spoke next to me.

"Don't you think so too zeus?"

"Huh? Oh, why yes, It also pleases me lilith"

"Wonderful... Oh, zeus there's something I want to tell to you"

"Huh? What is it?" I looked at lilith.

"Well.. Earlier, a visitor passed by our village, he was asking for some information regarding of monsters"

"Monsters? Why did he ask? Did he tell you his reason?"

"He said he was currently investigating for some beasts and also told me he was doing that to an old friend"

"Old friend huh? What did he look like"

"Hmm.. Let me think for a second, he was a beastman like you, he had a brown fur and had a large backpack"

Beastman, brown fur...

"Did he tell you his name?"

"No, he soon left after asking me"

"Did he tell you the name of his old friend?"

"He didn't"

"Oh... Well he's probably just a simple traveler lilith, there's nothing you should be worried about"

"I guess so..." I smiled at her as we both looked back at the children.

A beastman with brown fur, hm, kind of reminds me of max, but who knows, probably a different person.
