-- Present Moment --
3rd Person's POV:
The sky... The bright sun... All of the clouds slowly passing by... The beautiful sights once rested above the heads of the people back on earth, everything of it has fully faded away.
All replaced by an ominous red fog, being wrapped by a deadly lightning... Its almost over, apocalypse will soon take over.
When lian and the others arrived, what they saw made them completely freezed and their hearts started to beat fast.
Their senses were ticking fast like a sped up clock, they can feel someone or something is hiding under the shadows, ready to pummel at them at any moment once guards of theirs are down.
Lian: Oh my god... No!
As the beastmen were too busy looking at the scenery, a memory popped on his mind.. This scenery... All of it looked familiar.
Lian soon took a moment to calm himself down...
Lian: Mhm... Déjà Vu... Such a powerful feeling of Déjà Vu.
Max: Lian... Anything going on in your head? Do you feel dizzy?
Blizzard: You look quite pale.. Are you sure it's okay for you to handle this mission?
Zeus: Yeah... This might be our final battle... We may never get out of it alive...
Lian: And you think I'll let that happen? I already know what it feels like to die... I won't let it happen to any of you, if I say you'll get out of this mission alive, you will get out of it alive and in one piece... Got that?
Zeus: Lian...
Lian: But this time... I think it's right to give max the chance to set our tasks... Max?
Max: Yes... Of course.. But now I think its quite obvious to all of us the main cause of our problem.
Blizzard: Really?
Shadow: I believe it would be that.
Shadow pointed at the center of the city, quite far away from where their standing.
Lian was too busy at the moment earlier that even he, didn't notice it at first...
Lian: Oh my...
What floats before them, is a giant mass of black energy, its body is a complete fog, but that fog is protected by a barrier, a crystal barrier in shape of a thick heptagon.
Blizzard: What the heck?!
Shadow: From what I can say about it is it's a giant energy filled with only darkness, go near it and your mind can explode in just a heartbeat.
Blizzard: What?!
Shadow: But it's only my theory for it...
Zeus: Look below it...
Lian's eyes turned to the surroundings underneath the crystal barrier.
Max: Fallen heroes...
Blizzard winced.
Blizzard: Oww... That's a lot of heroes dead by just standing near that barrier!
Zeus: Actually... I fear that it may all be the heroes that stays on patrol here in "Grand"
Max: And so it has come for them... As much as it's too hurtful to say it... Society would be much better without them.
Shadow: I can't remember a single thing they contributed to the civilians nor to our government.
