The Next Element

Lian's POV:

...... Emptiness is clouding my eyes.... I feel the slight glimpse of heavenly light brushing against my whole body as it continues to fall down the bottomless abyss...

Everything must come to an end now... But... I feel really heavy at the same time... It feels like my whole existence is starting to fade.... Again...

I feel my eyelids slowly getting.... Heavier by the second.... My breathing getting... Slow.... By every... Passing moment.

"Max!".......

"Blizzard"......

"Zeus"........

"Shadow!".....

I could hear the sound of my own beating heart, the total darkness has even covered even my ears....

I can't see anything..... Can't hear anything.... Until....

..........................

"Lian!"

Huh?! I was immediately woken up and realized that I was falling fast, looking around me I saw max and the others.

"Get ready to land lian!" I heard blizzard next to me shout.

In the exact moment, all of us began to position ourselves properly as all of our legs shielded us from the impact of our fall.

Everything feels so surreal to me... My surroundings felt so uneasy... The ground that I am currently stepping on is making me tick, as if I'm slowly sinking down.... Like something is pulling me down...

"What on earth is this?" Blizzard spoke as he stood in terror of what was happening before him.

"It's a vortex of malice... Gosh.... This feels so creepy..." In which max replied.

I could hear soft whispers of crying, and small shouts of cries for help...

"Let's proceed on, I don't think this vortex likes having visitors in it" In which I had stated.

All of us nodded each other and began to run at the visible path there was.

As we advanced on, I could still feel the uncomfortableness of the overwhelming aura closing by us, the soft shouts of crying souls made it uneasy for us to focus on our main goal.

Fortunately, I noticed that the beastmen had all of their ears folded, minimizing the disturbance poking on our heads like some little undisciplined child.

"There! I see something!" Zeus exclaimed as we continued on running.

"What is that? A silhouette perhaps?" Shadow asked, quite uncertain of what was waiting in front of us.

Finally arriving as to what seemed like two figures, we were all surprised to be met by new beings....

"Glad to finally meet the wondrous heroes of earth!" One of them greeted us warmly but at the same time, sarcastically.... Not a good sentence to start a conversation though.

I rose an eyebrow and noticed a familiar person.

My eyes widened as I heard Max started to growl next to me, he immediately clenched his hands as he gritted his teeth, looking like he's ready to pounce and devour a larger beast compared to him.

I turned to look at where he was currently staring...

"Well well well... If it isn't lian and his precious dog~ happy that you have finally been able to join our wonderful terror party" He stated.
