Chapter 20 - Ruler of Demons, Rzoiyou

Lian summoned an axe to slice rzoiyou's head off.

His neck released a fountain stream of blood as his head dropped on the ground.

Rzoiyou slowly faded into thin dust leaving only a spirit orb behind.

Lian: Hm? An orb? What's this doing in here?

The orb moved immediately towards lian as it merged itself into his chest.

Lian: Aurgh!

Lian screamed in agony as markings of rzoiyou formed in his body.

The markings soon faded away, lian regained back to himself, his heart rapidly beating.

Lian: What was that?!

He panted, this confused the male, although asking questions is surely not a good idea for the seal rzoiyou has once been contained is starting to collapse.

Lian rushed towards the gaping hole that's opened, seeing on the horizon, there was hereward halio and emero who were standing waiting for them.

Fortunately for lian, he was able to escape in the very last second, the hole on the wall of the arena faded as the seal has now ceased to exist.

Lian panted.

Halio: Lian!

Emero: Thank goodness your safe!

Both of them hugged him in relief.

Lian: Ah! Master emero, master halio!

Hereward was the last one to approach lian, he was accompanied by two beastmen.

Lian stared into hereward.

Lian: Master hereward, I fulfilled my promise to you.

Hereward: Lian, you have amazed me once more with your skills, I was starting to worry you wouldn't be able to take care of that foul beast alone, but you did it! I am proud of you.

Lian: Thank you master lian.

Hereward: Please, come with us.

Lian did not bother to ask hereward but only followed his orders.

In the etherealian throne room, hereward, emero, halio and the two beastmen stood in front of lian.

Hereward: As a gift of our deepest appreciation, I present to you these guns.

Lian: Huh?

Lian took a peek of the box that was held by hereward.

It was two guns with an engraving on the top, it was in clear writing "Fate of Platinum"

Lian carefully took the guns out of it's box.

Lian: Fate of platinum...

Hereward: It's a weapon designed for you lian, it can shapeshift into the weapons that you've already mastered in using, these guns hold great power.

Lian: It's perfect!

Halio: That's not all lian.

Lian: What?

Emero: For years we have been observing your style of fighting so we've come up with this.

Halio presented a beautifully created etherealian platinum armor.

It had a purple color designed with bizzare line shapes.

Emero: This is etherealian fashion lian, we apologize if you do not like the way it looks.

Lian: I love it!

Halio: Really? Well then that's good to hear.

Hereward: Lian, there's something we'd like you to meet as well.

Lian: Huh?

Hereward: Next to me are "Rune" and "Totem" consider them as a gift as well.

Rune: We are at your service master lian.

Totem: We are at your service master lian.

Hereward: They will be your assistants as you live your life here in etherealia.

Lian: Assistants... I don't know what to say about these...

Rune: Is there something you don't like about us master?

Lian: No... You two are perfect, but why did you just give them to me now? Wouldn't it make my battle easier if they were able to help me?

Lian asked in the nicest manner possible.

Hereward: Lian... We wanted to see if you're able to handle hard fights alone, forgive us for doing this to you, but now you've proven yourself that you can handle fights alone.

Lian nodded and smiled at them.

Lian: Well then, now that that's taken care of, what is going to happen now?

Halio: Our realm is now at ease lian, thanks to your aid.

Emero: You may stay here with us in etherealia, or you can leave.

Lian: Stay... or leave?

Hereward: You've fulfilled your task, you've proven yourself as a platinum witch, you may be able to leave this realm now or remain with us.

Lian didn't even have to think.

Lian: I'll stay with you here for my entire life, but first, I have to take someone back from earth.

Hereward: Do what you must lian, your work here is done.

Lian: Thank you..

As hereward and the others left lian in the etherealia throne hall, he placed a hand on his chest.

Lian: That orb... It fused itself to me, could it possibly be happening again?
