Parallel Worlds Ch. 1: Self-Blame

Liam: I just really don't think that I'm fit to be maxine's boyfriend... He's just so nice and caring... Sometimes he's so bashful which made me fall for him even more...

Charlotte: And you're now giving up? Just because you see maxine having fun with other guys?

Liam: I guess so?... If that's what really makes him happy then so be it...

Charlotte: I knew it... You're immediately jumping into conclusions without even knowing what maxine really wants aren't you?

Liam: Well I wouldn't say that I am jumping to conclusions...

Charlotte: Yeah you are, and don't even try to deny it! If you can't set things straight with your boyfriend then I'm telling him.

Liam: Don't! Please! I don't want maxine to worry about me!

Charlotte: Well fix your damn self you stupid himbo! You're not thinking straight, well you aren't straight either but you get my point.

Liam: Wow... That kinda hurt.

Charlotte: Shut up, demons can't get hurt.

Liam: Well how am I going to address this issue in front of maxine?

Charlotte sighed.

Charlotte: Just explain it to him simple and nice, tell him your reasons and listen well to what he's about to say... We're not even certain if maxine likes other guys...

Liam: And if he does indeed likes other boys?

Charlotte: Well...

Charlotte couldn't think of an excuse for that.

Charlotte: Let's just see, talk to him.

Liam: Fine... But if things get awfully wron-

Charlotte: You're jumping on to conclusions again which I am going to remind you again are wrong and completely false.

Liam: Whatever.

At the end of the day, the school bell rang and all the students were free to head home.

Outside of school, several people gawked at liam, he was currently holding a beautiful rose.

When a group of girls was about to walk towards liam, they were blocked by charlotte.

Charlotte: Don't even think about it.

With her intense and frightening stare, the girls ran past them in fear.

Liam: Do you think this will work.

Charlotte: Of course.

Liam: But why do I need to do this outside of school?

Charlotte: It adds that dramatic effect.

Liam: You're weird you know that.

Charlotte: Just shut up and woo your beloved, I can sense his humming coming in closer.

Liam: What?!

Charlotte: Good luck.

Once all the students were gone, maxine was the last one who got out of the premises.

Maxine: Liam! There you are! I've been looking all over for you.

Liam was stunned as he gulped intensely, seeing maxine rush towards him and trapped him in his soft embrace made him feel all jittery inside.

Liam: Uhm.... Uhhh...

Once maxine broke the hug, he looked up and stared right on liam's eyes, he noticed that he was nervous as all heck.
