Chapter 68 - Wrath & Rage

"Keres!" Max shouted, he tried to strike him down but I grabbed him by the arm, It calms him down a bit, not the best timing but it's better that letting him move immediately.

"Aw... Better put a leash on that, or else I will" keres stated, but of course, it didn't offend any of them at all.

I smirked as I let out a chuckle, quickly whipping out my guns, I fixed the angle of my glasses properly and gave him an unintimidated look.

"Quite the same as before keres, but still, sarcasm isn't still a part of your game hasn't it?" I said and watched as his sarcastic smile fades away.

"Hm... Here's a lesson for you darling~" I winked at him.

"Next time you use sarcasm, it's best to not keep your statements generic, it destroys the whole purpose of your fearlessness towards your enemies~" I chuckled.

His expression turned serious as I noticed him clench his fist.

"Tch!" He clicked his tongue as he ignored on what I had said to him.

He pointed his fingers at me as his two companions prepared their fighting stances.

"Gant! Hneipa! Take care of our pest problems" He said as both of his men began to strike us.

"Hm... This will be fun"

3rd Person's POV:

The battle began as the agonizing terror shriek of the pandemonium continues to swirl around them.

"Gant" one of yme's servants began to take care of Max and Zeus, his huge horns on his head shielded him from zeus' lightning bolts.

Zeus: Damn!

Zeus rolled over to a different direction before gant could penetrate his chest with his horns, max instead took the blow and used his gauntlets to catch and hold the raging demon.

It has no ability to speak but its action and force says a lot that he wasn't happy of being hold back down.

Gant pulled his head back and tried to strike the brown-furred beast-man with his long spear, he tried to stab max with it several times before losing plenty of physical energy to move anymore.

Once he was too stunned to move, Zeus came along and charged a powerful lightning bullet, he released the surge of electricity and paralyzed gant with the blast.

A horrific shriek came out of him as max took care of it and slammed his entire gauntlet fist right on his stomach, the impact smashed right at him too much causing him to be thrown a few inches away from the two of them.

Zeus: Nice work max!

Max: You too!

Both shared a quick hi-five before returning their heads back to the fight.

Gant immediately went back up and began to strike the two beastmen once more without ever thinking twice.

Zeus held his hands together as a glow began to emit on his palms.

"Chain Lightning!" He shouted as he clapped his hands so strong it created a wave of shock that blasted everyone nearby.

Max: Whoa there buddy! Might watch our powers first before acting alright?

Zeus: Oops.

His wave of electricity created a strong blast that distracted almost everyone of them but the lightning once again made gant vulnerable to more attacks.

Max chuckled as he saw another opportunity to strike, quickly rushing towards gant and preparing his fist for another deadly-packed punch, he was surprised when he was greeted by hneipa's sudden power kick.
