Chapter 69 - Punishment & Vanquishment

Shadow turned his head to max.

Shadow: Max, we can't let Yme handle lian alone... He might be outmatched for him.

Max: You're right.... It's best if we atleast knock this last minion of his out before helping him.

Blizzard: But what if he wakes up from his unconsciousness unlike those other two earlier?

Max cracked his fingers as he chuckled.

Max: Then I guess a pulp beating would be enough for the job.

Blizzard: Okay... Going brutal are we?

Blizzard nervously laughed, even he was scared at the menacing glare max gave to the enemy.

Lian's POV:

"Mmmh....." I pushed myself off the ground with both of hands as I stood up, looking to my every direction, I had realized that I was blown too far away from the beastmen...

Sighing, I rolled my eyes and placed both of my hands on my hips.

"Surely they can handle themselves... They're already adults..."

Looking to my side without bothering to turn around, I felt the same presence once more...

"Platinum Witch" a voice whispered to my ear.

"Hm?" Slowly turning around, I rose an eyebrow when I saw a weird figure surrounded by a black fog.

The dark fog began to combine and fuse altogether as a human-like silhouette appeared right before me.

"How I've awaited your arrival for so long..."

I laughed at what he had just said.

"Didn't even bother to greet us properly at the gate... Nor even serve us good tea, you're not a good host are you now?" I teased the figure as a smirk formed on my lips.

Equipping my guns, I aimed it right at the forming black fog.

"Now... Show me what you really are!"

I shouted at it.... But the figure only laughed...

"Hahahahahaha.... To think such a clown could replace the Platinum Witch shows that Etherealian people are pathetic when it comes to decisions...."

The figure mocked me as it continued to let out a menacing laugh.

"And to think such a powerful being would be so cowardly to show its true form" I teased back.

"Say what pleases you witch.... Once I take grasp at your soul, Etherealia and even the whole world would be one close step to its full destruction" He stated.

"If it's a fight you want then count me in, if you want to laugh and hurt me until I reach my last breath bring it on, either way I'm not backing down vile demon!"

"Hahahahahahaha......"

The fog slowly disappeared as a full human form was created.

"Hm.... I believe you are the one named "Yme" are you not? Prepare yourself as your demise is only waiting you on the horizon"

He slowly hovered down as his face was finally revealed to me.

"The Platinum Witch.... Or shall I instead address you by the name of... Lian?"

I gripped both of my guns tightly.

"You have no right to call me that!"
