Chapter 69 - Punishment & Vanquishment

He began to raise both of his hand as an incredible orb of energy formed.

Once the energy formed entirely, it released a barrage of energy beams continuously.

The lasers striked the ground multiple times until it started to target me.

Immediately, I swiftly dodged the lasers one by one, leaving strong explosions behind me.

I aimed my guns once more at yme with perfect accuracy and started to shower him with bullets.

My bullets travelled swiftly at intense speed but unfortunately, it was all blocked by a powerful barrier causing every single one of them to explode into shards.

Quickly shifting my guns into a scythe, I rushed towards Yme when I had the right time and tried to slice him up.

I was shocked when I saw Yme disappear right before my eyes, seeing him teleport on a different area, I propelled myself towards him, attempting to strike him again, he vanished off away from my sight as he teleported to another place again.

"Trying to push me on my bad side now are we?" I switched my weapons to gauntlets and waited for the perfect moment until I felt that strong energy build up inside the weapon.

At the right time and accuracy, I clapped both of my hands as a powerful blast of both energy and wind came out of the weapon and wiped out everything in front of it.

Yme was completely off guarded as he was caught as well in the blast.

Rushing towards him to blast his entire body once more with the gauntlet, my eyes widened as the time the smoke and winds cleared out, he was nowhere to be seen.

I quickly turned around and grunted as the same energy was able to strike me causing me to be blown away from him.

Backflipping a few distance away from him to gain enough time to act again, I summoned my lance and tried to throw it to his direction.

At such quick speed, the lance struck on nothing as Yme vanished once again.

I felt his presence looming behind me once more as I was blasted again, this time it was more of a concentrated beam of a dark and light fusion..

The blast made me roll over again throwing me away in such a far distance.

Trying to stand up, I coughed and saw drops of blood coming out of my mouth and lips.

Breathing heavily, I watched as Yme slowly approached me.

"Where has that brave expression gone off to? Surely you mustn't have had enough?"

"Keep talking demon...." I lifted myself up and was able to stand on my two feet.

Summoning an axe behind my back, I forced an activation on my time control.

I felt my eyes spark a bright light as I saw the flow of everything slow once more.

Jumping immediately, I prepared my axe, holding it with both of my hands I slashed Yme with full force.

"Huh?!"

I saw Yme was able to lift his hand and was able to grab the blade of my axe with ease.

With a snap of his fingers, the time was restored back to normal.

"Simply... A pathetic approach"

Gripping the blade of my axe even more tightly, the blade was snapped and was destroyed right before my eyes.

"I-impossible!" I was surprised when Yme aimed his other hand on my chest and released another powerful energy causing me to be blasted away from him.

"GWAAAAAAHGH!"
