"What are you guys doing?" The door to the living room swung open with force, and a very drunk Raven stumbled in. "Man, I've been waiting for you guys. We were supposed to meet at the party!" she said, flopping down on the carpet.
"Damn, Raven. We totally forgot. We were just talking about Cl..." Oktavia couldn't finish her sentence as I nudged her. She looked at me and rolled her eyes.
Raven is the one who openly misses Clarke the most. "Who were you guys gossiping about?" She sat up and looked at both of us questioningly. I sighed and nodded. This time, Oktavia acknowledged and said, "We were talking about Clarke."
Raven lay back down on the carpet and stared at the ceiling. After a while, all we heard her say was, "It was about time. You two have been avoiding what happened for so long." I didn't know why, but that hurt me because she was right. Oktavia and I never talked about her, never mentioned her.
"You know what, we should call her." Raven jumped up, and I saw a spark in her eyes. "I don't think we have her number. It's been three years; she probably has a new one."
I liked the idea, but I was damn scared. "So, does that mean we give up? We haven't even started, and you're already thinking it won't work. Man, you were her best friend, and you're not even trying."
With that, Raven stormed out and slammed the door shut.
She was right. "Lexa, we need to do something; I want her back." I got up and pulled Oktavia with me. "I want her back too, and I'm going to get her back."
We ran out of the living room and searched for Raven. She was in mine and Costia's room. "What are you doing there?" I went to her.
"I smashed my phone, and I lost all my numbers, and I didn't want to ask you for her number. I know you have it somewhere here."
That made me smile. She was right; I kept everything that reminded me of Clarke, everything that belonged to her, hoping to give it back to her.
I opened the wardrobe and rummaged in a box at the bottom. "What's this?" I looked up at Oktavia and saw what she was pointing at. "I have no idea; it probably belongs to Costia or my old university stuff from the first semester." I got back to my box.
I called her Princess Chest. I know it sounds stupid, but it reminds me of Clarke. "I have..." I was interrupted as Oktavia dropped something.
I turned around and saw the two of them looking into the chest. "Hey, I told you it could belong to Costia." I got up and wanted to take the box away from them.
"It's definitely her box." She then pulled a sheet of paper out of the box.
"What's that?" As they said nothing, I grabbed the stack of paper from her.
Math algebra exam
"So she kept her old exams." I was about to put it away when Oktavia got up and came to me. "Lexa, that's not just any exam; it's the exam with the original solutions."
I looked at the front page, and it was true. What the hell? "Do you know what that means? It wasn't Clarke; unless Costia found one by chance afterward and thought, I'll take it." Raven looked at me.
What should I do, what should I do, what... I'm totally confused.
Costia did it?!
