Warning: Awkward start to this chapter. :P

It was the middle of the night when Ryder woke up. At first, he didn't understand what had caused it, so he listened carefully. All he could hear was the AC going, and Adan and Kendric's breathing.
But there was something off. It sounded like they were breathing too fast.
Then there was a new scent in the room. And once he realized what it was, he couldn't help peeking over at the two men to see what they were doing.
Perhaps they were trying to be discreet, or maybe they were still asleep and just having a dirty dream? He didn't see much movement, but he could sense at least one of them was very excited.
Embarrassed, he turned his head and tried to block it out. If he got up now, he'd alert them to the fact that he was awake. And for some reason, he felt like that would make things worse. So he pretended he saw nothing, and lay as motionless as possible for as long as he could.
Soon enough, it died down, but after having endured it for so long, Ryder was affected.
Again, he feared getting up and waking them, so he bore with it until he managed to fall back asleep. That morning, the two men acted as though nothing odd had happened, and Ryder had no problem playing along.
Part of him had a few reservations about staying this way. The two men already had a history with one another, and were now back together, thus, their relationship was progressing much faster without Ryder. At this rate, he was beginning to fear he would be left behind.
It was true that he was still planning to eventually move back home after college, but what was the point of dating if he didn't participate in the short time they had together?
In the hotel hall, walking behind the two, Ryder worked up the courage to grab both their hands. He kept his head down, feeling more like a child being guided by his parents rather than a man holding hands with his two lovers.
Adan and Kendric tightened their grasp and didn't make a scene about it.
They went out for breakfast, then back to the park to spend a few hours to burn off excess energy. Suddenly, Ryder was self-conscious about undressing and ducked behind a tree.
Once again, the two men didn't say anything when he emerged in his wolf form. And Kendric shifted to run with him. They came upon a small creek, and by this time Ryder had gotten over his initial embarrassment and jumped headfirst into the water.
Kendric's wolf stayed by the shore, whining at him to get out. Ryder didn't listen and paddled happily across. Then dove back into the water. When he returned to shore, he followed along the edge until the water was shallow and he could see tadpoles skirting along the bottom. He began chasing them, running up and down the edge of the water, sticking his nose down to the bottom, and snorting water until his nostrils burned.
Coughing, he trotted back over to Kendric, who bopped him with his paw and started heading back.
Ryder, still as energetic as ever, would randomly run alongside Kendric, so close that their sides touched, causing him to trip more than usual.
Back at the clearing, Adan had a serious look on his face. "My uncle wants me to go back to Sutton for a few hours."
Kendric's ears perked, and he shifted back to his human form and grabbed a shirt. "Alright. I can drive you."
He took one look at the soaked Ryder and shook his head. "I'll get an Uber back to the hotel and pick my car up. Text me if you go anywhere else."
The man did just that, and Ryder went behind a tree to change.
