The morning of the school festival was electric with energy. Students rushed around, finalizing decorations, setting up booths, and practicing last-minute choreography. The air was filled with the scent of food from various stalls, and the sound of music echoed through the hallways. Jiwon could barely contain her excitement as she and her friends gathered in their homeroom to put the finishing touches on their café
"Okay, team"
Eunji announced, clapping her hands to get everyone’s attention
"Today’s the day! We’ve got everything set up, and the menu is good to go. Just remember, we’re here to have fun, but we’re also aiming for that ‘Best Booth’ award!"
Jiwon smiled at her friend’s enthusiasm. The café looked amazing, with fairy lights strung across the ceiling and cozy cushions scattered around low tables. Each of them had taken on a role—Jiwon was in charge of the kitchen, Eunji handled the orders, Seoyeon managed the music playlist, Sumi was on drink duty, and Haeun was their all-around helper
"How many bubble teas do you think we’ll need?"
Sumi asked, holding up a giant bag of tapioca pearls
"Enough to flood the school"
Haeun joked, making everyone laugh
As they were setting up, students from other classes wandered in, checking out the competition. Beomgyu, Soobin, Taehyun, and Huening Kai strolled into the café, looking around with impressed expressions
"Not bad, not bad"
Beomgyu said, nodding
"But you’re up against some pretty tough competition"
"So confident for someone running a game booth"
Jiwon shot back with a grin
"Confidence is key"
Taehyun added, giving her a wink
"But seriously, this place looks great"
"Thanks"
Eunji replied, smiling
"But don’t think we’ll go easy on you just because you’re complimenting us"
