ׂ╰┈➤ Chapter 27 | Back To Life
────୨ৎ────
The following day at school, Jiwon walked through the hallways with a cloud of uncertainty hanging over her. Her usual routine felt disjointed, her interactions with her friends and classmates tinged with the residue of her encounter with Yeonjun. The familiar buzz of the school environment seemed distant, as if she were observing it from behind a veil
In her first-period class, Jiwon sat at her desk, her mind replaying the conversation from the café. The soft hum of the classroom and the occasional rustle of papers did little to soothe her racing thoughts. The revelation that DreamWeaver was Yeonjun had left her feeling disoriented and conflicted, and she struggled to focus on the lesson

During lunch, Jiwon met up with her friends, Eunji, Seoyeon, Sumi, and Haeun, at their usual table. Their cheerful banter and lively conversations provided a stark contrast to Jiwon’s inner turmoil. She tried to engage in the conversation, forcing a smile, but her mind kept drifting back to her encounter with Yeonjun
Eunji noticed Jiwon’s distracted demeanor and leaned in, her brow furrowed with concern
“Hey, Jiwon, you seem a bit off today. Is everything okay?”
Jiwon hesitated, her fork hovering over her food as she gathered her thoughts
“It’s nothing, really. Just... some stuff on my mind”
Seoyeon, ever perceptive, added with a gentle tone,
“You can talk to us if you need to. We’re here for you”
Jiwon nodded appreciatively, but she couldn’t bring herself to share the details. The situation with Yeonjun felt too complicated to discuss openly, and she wasn’t ready to delve into it with her friends just yet
“Thanks, guys. I’m just... working through some things”
The rest of lunch passed in a blur, Jiwon’s thoughts consumed by the uncertainty of her interactions with Yeonjun. As the day went on, she tried to maintain her usual routines and interactions, but her heart was heavy with the weight of her emotions
After school, Jiwon decided to take a walk to clear her mind. The city was beginning to bustle with the evening rush, and she wandered through familiar streets, trying to find solace in the ordinary sights and sounds. The comfort of the routine, however, was elusive, as her thoughts kept returning to her unresolved feelings about Yeonjun

Meanwhile, Yeonjun was also grappling with the fallout from their meeting. The previous day had left him feeling unsettled and regretful. He had hoped to establish a genuine connection with Jiwon through DreamWeaver, but the revelation had shifted everything into a new and complicated reality
Yeonjun met up with Beomgyu, Soobin, Taehyun, and Huening Kai after school. They gathered at a local café, a favorite hangout spot, and the conversation quickly turned to their usual light-hearted topics. However, Yeonjun’s mind was elsewhere, his responses distracted as he tried to process his feelings
Beomgyu, noticing Yeonjun’s preoccupation, gave him a curious look
“Hey, you’ve been out of it today. What’s up?”
Yeonjun sighed, running a hand through his hair
“It’s... complicated. I had this encounter with someone I’ve been talking to online, and it turns out they were someone I know in real life. It’s messing with my head”
Taehyun raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued
“You mean like a secret identity kind of thing?”
Yeonjun nodded
“Exactly. I thought I was talking to a different person, but it was someone I knew all along. It’s left me feeling pretty conflicted”
Huening Kai looked at him sympathetically
“That sounds rough. It’s never easy when things you thought were one way turn out to be completely different”
As the evening wore on, Yeonjun’s friends tried to lift his spirits with their usual antics and jokes, but the weight of his thoughts remained. He was determined to resolve the situation with Jiwon, but he knew it would take time and understanding to mend the rift that had formed between them

Back at home, Jiwon sat at her desk, her guitar resting against the wall. She picked it up and began strumming absentmindedly, the familiar chords offering a small measure of comfort. Music had always been her refuge, and she hoped it would help her find clarity in the midst of the emotional storm
As she played, her thoughts drifted to the upcoming weekend, where she and Yeonjun would inevitably cross paths again. The challenge of navigating their complicated dynamic was daunting, but Jiwon knew she had to confront it head-on. The path forward was uncertain, but she was determined to find a way to make sense of the situation and discover what it meant for their future
