The early evening sun cast a gentle glow over Jiwon’s cozy living room as she and Yeonjun settled in for a relaxing night at her house. Jiwon had invited Yeonjun over for a movie night, hoping to continue their newfound camaraderie in a more personal setting
As Yeonjun stepped into the house, he was greeted by the warm aroma of dinner wafting from the kitchen. Jiwon’s parents had been informed about Yeonjun’s visit and were excited to meet him. They welcomed him with warm smiles and genuine curiosity
“Hi, Yeonjun! It’s so nice to finally meet you,”
Jiwon’s mother said, extending a friendly hand
“Jiwon’s told us so much about you”
Yeonjun shook her hand and smiled
“It’s great to meet you too, Mrs. Lee. Thank you for having me over”
Her father joined in, giving Yeonjun a firm handshake
“Welcome, Yeonjun. We’re glad you could join us for dinner”
With introductions complete, Jiwon led Yeonjun to the dining table, where her parents had prepared a delicious spread of Korean dishes. The meal was lively, filled with friendly conversation and laughter. Jiwon’s parents were curious about Yeonjun’s interests and background, and he answered their questions with genuine enthusiasm

he whispered
“It’s been nice to get to know you better, outside of everything else”
Jiwon smiled sleepily, her eyes closing as she nestled closer
“Me too, Yeonjun. It’s been a long journey, but moments like this make it all worth it”
