The sun rose gently over the school grounds, casting a warm glow over the bustling campus. It was a crisp fall day, and the autumn leaves crunched beneath students’ feet as they made their way to class
Jiwon arrived at school early, as usual, and made her way to her locker. She greeted her friends Eunji and Seoyeon, who were chatting excitedly about the upcoming school festival
“Hey, Jiwon!”
Eunji called out, waving energetically
“Have you finalized your performance for the festival?”
“Not yet”
Jiwon replied, smiling as she opened her locker
“I’m still deciding on which song to play on the guitar. It’s so hard to choose!”
Seoyeon grinned
“Why not go with something that means a lot to you? It’ll make your performance even more special”
Jiwon nodded thoughtfully
“That’s a great idea. Thanks!”
As they walked to their first class, Sumi and Haeun joined them, and the group fell into their usual friendly banter. They talked about their favorite classes, upcoming tests, and the latest gossip

Meanwhile, Yeonjun and his friends—Beomgyu, Soobin, Taehyun, and Huening Kai—were gathered near the entrance to their classroom, discussing their plans for the festival and their recent sports practices
“So, Yeonjun”
Beomgyu said
“are you ready for the volleyball game next week? I heard you’ve been practicing hard”
Yeonjun chuckled
“Yeah, I’m ready. Just hoping we can win this time. It’ll be great to finally get a win under our belts”
Taehyun, who had been listening, added
“And don’t forget about the skating competition. We’re counting on you to bring home the gold”
Yeonjun laughed, a mix of excitement and nerves in his voice
“I'll do my best. But we’ve got to focus on the festival too. We’ve got a lot to prepare”
The bell rang, signaling the start of the first period. Jiwon and Yeonjun made their way to their respective classes, exchanging casual waves and smiles as they passed each other in the hallway

Haeun agreed
“I’ll get that too. We should make sure to get extra rice this time”
Jiwon laughed, enjoying the relaxed conversation
“I’ll go with the stew as well. It’s a perfect choice for a chilly day like today”
Meanwhile, at the cafeteria’s other side, Yeonjun and his friends were also having lunch. They joked around and shared stories from their morning classes

As lunch ended, Jiwon and Yeonjun went their separate ways again. Jiwon headed to her afternoon classes with a sense of contentment, while Yeonjun joined his friends for a study session in the library
