ׂ╰┈➤ Chapter 16 | Unnoticed Details
────୨ৎ────
It was a quiet Saturday afternoon, and Jiwon had agreed to hang out with Yeonjun at the local park. They had initially planned to work on a school project, but as they settled onto a park bench, it quickly became clear that the day was more about relaxing and catching up
“So, what’s new?”
Jiwon asked, stretching her legs out and letting out a contented sigh
“Anything exciting going on?”
Yeonjun looked thoughtful for a moment
“Not much, just the usual school stuff. I’ve been reading a lot lately”
“Oh, really?”
Jiwon said, intrigued
“Anything interesting?”
“Yeah”
Yeonjun replied casually
“I started on that book series you mentioned a while ago. Pretty engaging”
Jiwon blinked in surprise
“You’re reading that? That’s cool. I didn’t think you’d be into it”
Yeonjun shrugged, a hint of a smile playing on his lips
“Guess I’ve got some hidden interests”
As they continued chatting, Yeonjun seemed particularly interested in Jiwon's favorite books and TV shows. He asked detailed questions about characters and plotlines, as though he was trying to absorb every piece of information
At one point, Jiwon mentioned a recent TV episode she had enjoyed. Yeonjun’s eyes lit up, and he immediately started discussing it in detail
“That episode was wild!”
Yeonjun said, leaning forward
“I didn’t see that twist coming at all”
Jiwon laughed, nodding in agreement
“Yeah, it was such a shock. I’ve been thinking about it non-stop”

As the afternoon wore on, Yeonjun suggested they take a walk around the park. They strolled along the paths, chatting about school and life in general. Jiwon noticed that Yeonjun seemed unusually knowledgeable about some of her interests, but she brushed it off, attributing it to his curiosity and attentiveness

“You’ve been really into this online stuff lately”
Yeonjun said with a grin
“Anything I should know about?”
Jiwon chuckled
“Just the usual. I’ve been chatting with my online friend a lot. It’s been nice.”
“That’s cool”
Yeonjun said, seemingly indifferent but with a slight edge to his tone
As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the park, Jiwon and Yeonjun sat down on a swing set, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. They continued their conversation, but Jiwon couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something more to Yeonjun’s behavior. Yet, she decided to focus on enjoying their time together rather than analyzing every detail
By the time they parted ways, Jiwon felt a mix of satisfaction and lingering curiosity. The day had been enjoyable, and she appreciated the chance to get to know Yeonjun better. Despite the subtle signs and coincidences, she chose to savor the moment, leaving the deeper questions for another time
