Since Y/N's mom was away for a week, she had granted Konoha permission to stay over to "look after her daughter." Naturally, Konoha took that very seriously-or as seriously as someone could when the person they're "looking after" was constantly causing mayhem. It was a golden opportunity for them to spend more time together. Plus, Konoha could help Y/N with her cooking, and in return, Y/N would tutor him in his studies. But most importantly, Konoha's mission was to ensure Y/N didn't burn the house down while trying to make bento.

The two were like a couple of kids left unsupervised in a candy store. They spent most of their time fooling around the house-bickering, pulling harmless pranks, and even setting up traps to see who could outwit the other. But when it came to cooking, Y/N always lost. Despite that, she was surprisingly improving in the kitchen. Still, Konoha couldn't help but tease her about it, both at home and at school.

"You should see the chaos she creates just to boil rice," Konoha would say to the team at lunch. "It's like a mini natural disaster."

Y/N would glare at him and chuck a piece of food at his face. "Oh, like you've never spilled flour all over the place before! You made the kitchen look like it snowed indoors!"

But in the back of her mind, she was actually proud of herself for getting better. Though she'd never admit it out loud with Konoha around to poke fun.

One evening, while Konoha was in the living room scrolling through his phone, Y/N went to her room to change. Exhausted from the day's playful chaos, she had completely forgotten to lock the door. She was midway through pulling out her clothes when Konoha suddenly opened the door without knocking, probably thinking she was still in the living room.

They both froze.

Konoha's eyes widened, his brain short-circuiting as he took in the scene. Y/N stood there in shock, holding her clothes in her hands, while the reality of the situation dawned on both of them.

Konoha's face turned beet red. He slammed the door shut with a loud thud, practically tripping over his feet in his haste. "I'M SORRY! I DIDN'T KNOW! I DIDN'T KNOCK-OH GOD, I'M SORRY!" He yelled from outside the door, his voice full of panic.

Y/N stood in her room, her face so red it could rival the setting sun. Oh my God. Oh my God. Her thoughts raced. He just-what-WHY DIDN'T I LOCK THE DOOR?! She slapped her forehead, mortified. Her heart pounded like a drum. He saw...

She hurriedly put on her clothes, hands shaking from the embarrassment. I'm never living this down. NEVER.

When she finally opened the door, Konoha was kneeling on the floor outside, his forehead pressed to the ground in what could only be described as a full-on apology bow. "I AM SO SORRY. I didn't mean to walk in-I wasn't thinking, I swear! I'll never-"

"Konoha Akinori!" Y/N interrupted, her voice higher than usual, trying not to combust from embarrassment. "It's fine! It's-it's my fault for not locking the door!" She waved her hands frantically, trying to ease the tension.

Konoha finally lifted his head, still looking horrified. "But I should've knocked!"

"Seriously, it's okay!" Y/N stammered, her face still glowing red. "Just-just get up. I'm not mad."

Both of them were blushing so hard they looked like two overripe strawberries, but eventually, they broke into nervous chuckles, the awkwardness slowly fading away.

"Okay," Konoha said sheepishly as he stood up. "Let's just pretend that never happened."

"Agreed," Y/N nodded, relieved to move on.

Later that night, the two of them decided to relax in the living room. Wrapped up in a blanket, they sat together on the couch, the TV softly playing some show neither of them was really paying attention to. They were too focused on each other. Y/N leaned into Konoha, resting her head on his shoulder. The warmth of the blanket and the closeness between them created a cozy atmosphere that was impossible to resist.

At some point, Y/N shifted, tilting her head up to look at Konoha. Their eyes met, and before either of them realized what was happening, their faces were inching closer. The world around them blurred out, and then, like magnets, their lips met in a soft, tender kiss.

It was innocent at first, but soon the kiss deepened. Konoha's hand slid to the back of Y/N's neck, pulling her closer, while Y/N's fingers tangled in his hair. Their hearts raced in sync as they melted into the kiss, lost in the moment.

Y/N's mind went blank. How did this happen? But then, Oh... I don't care.

Konoha's thoughts weren't much different. Is this... okay? His mind raced, but then, Oh, who am I kidding-this is great.

Before long, they both realized they were completely wrapped up in each other. Y/N pulled back slightly, her face flushed and her breath coming in shallow gasps. "W-we should... probably stop," she muttered, though she didn't really want to.

Konoha blinked, trying to process what just happened. "Y-yeah, we should," he agreed, though his hands still rested on her waist.

But instead of pulling away, they found themselves drawn back in, leaning into another kiss. It was just too easy to get lost in the warmth of each other.

Eventually, exhaustion caught up to them. With the soft hum of the TV in the background, Y/N rested her head on Konoha's chest, and soon they both drifted off, fast asleep on the couch, still tangled up in each other, the blanket covering them like a cozy cocoon.

The next morning, they woke up in the same position, blinking groggily at each other. Y/N, still half-asleep, mumbled, "Did we fall asleep on the couch?"

Konoha yawned, stretching his arms. "Yeah... I think we did."

There was a moment of silence before Y/N burst into laughter. "Oh God, we're a mess."

Konoha chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "At least we didn't burn the house down."

"Yet," Y/N teased, nudging him. "But give me time. I still haven't mastered the stove."

Konoha grinned. "Maybe we should stick to instant ramen for a while."

They shared a laugh before getting ready for the day, both of them knowing that, despite the embarrassing moments, they wouldn't trade this week for anything.
