Y/Ns P.O.V
Miss Ishii smiled towards me "I hear you and your class have been preparing for the school festival?" I nodded and smiled at the thought of having spent so much time with so many of my classmates "Are you excited?"
"Yes, although, I'm also worried. We're putting on a performance and I don't want to go wrong, everyone has been working so hard and I don't want to mess that up." She hummed.
"What makes you feel as if you would mess it up?" I shrugged and pressed my hands into my knees "I don't know... I messed up with my own mum, then I can't seem to talk to people like everyone else... Everyone in class became so close so quickly, and I just don't feel that happened with me... I messed up during our final exams and then I messed up on the stealth mission I was given... I just mess up so frequently, I feel like I'm bound to mess this up." She nodded before closing her notebook and placing in on the table between us.
"You didn't mess up Y/n. Your relationship with your mother is by no means your fault. On multiple accounts you've attempted to reach out to her and she's shut them down, that is on her, not you. No doubt that has affected how you socialise with others, so that is no fault of yours either. Plus, relationships of any kind naturally take time. For example, when we first met, you refused to speak with me, yet, you're now able to open up... As for your final exam-" Before Miss Ishii could finish Aizawa spoke up "You didn't mess up."
Both me and Miss Ishii turned to look at him, Miss Ishii went to speak towards him but he put his hand up in a stop motion "No, I didn't say that to make out that you work off of some script. I said it, because I needed to." Aizawa looked at me and continued "You didn't mess up Midoriya, not then, not ever. Yes, you didn't succeed in what the final exam asked but you did all you could. You did as any hero would, you continued, even when things went south. You didn't run, you stayed to get your fellow classmate out and saw it through until the time ran out. If you had a few seconds more, you would have passed. Then the stealth mission, no one with a heart would have been able to proceed any further than you. You are human, you are allowed to make mistakes, but nothing you have done to be at this point has been a mistake. Much rather, a lesson. One in which you've taken on board."
Staring at him, I took in his words but got stuck with his last few words.
"nothing you have done to be at this point has been a mistake"
Nothing?
Does that include that night?
"I'd hope your provisional hero license was proof of your capabilities... Proof that you're capable of becoming a hero."
Capable?
I stuttered "You think I'm capable of becoming a hero?" He nodded.
"Yes Midoriya. I believe you are capable of becoming a hero. I'd hoped you having remained in my class was proof enough, of that."

Dancing with my classmates, I looked out at the sea of faces. Spotting Eri, I couldn't help but smile.
As our performance continued, I kept my eye on Eri. As I watched, I caught sight of her smile and felt the tears come to my eyes. Even though I knew this moment of happiness wouldn't heal her past, I was glad she had come to find her smile.
Once our performance finished, we all left the stage. All the girls gathered around and were gushing, complimenting eachother. Not wanting to intrude, I went to walk past them but Hagakure stepped in front of me "Y/n, you were amazing out there!"
I smiled and went to return the compliment but Yaoyorozu added "Yeah, you seemed so graceful. I've actually noticed it during our hero training, your movements have become more smooth. Flawless, even."
Scratching at the back of my head I managed to reply "Thank you... During my last hero study I trained to work more stealthily... Edgeshot taught me to let everything go silent which then allows for the body to relax and move more freely."
Asui ribbited before saying "Well it definitely works." I bowed my head towards her.
An arm was thrown over my shoulders and I looked to see Mina "Hey, don't get all shy on us now! You were killer up there! Definitely a case of the student becoming the master!" I laughed and shook my head, before I could make a verbal refusal Jirou spoke "I think that's the first time I've heard you laugh Y/n."
All the other girls agreed, Iida then interrupting as he ran over to inform us of our clean up duties.

Midoriya promised to make Eri more candied apples for her next return but Eri's focus moved away from him and towards his sister. Eri was quick to call out and run towards her "Y/N!"
Midoriya was quick to crouch and scoop Eri up into her arms "Did you have fun today Eri?" Eri nodded quickly, then showing the candied apple.
"Look what Deku made me!" Midoriya smiled and commented "Wow! That looks amazing!" Eri pushed it more towards her and cheered "Try some! It's yummy!"
Midoriya took a small bite and made an exaggerated hum "So yummy!"
Eri started to ramble on about the days events and what she enjoyed the most, which happened to be everything. She then progressed onto talking about 1-As performance, which lead her to asking "Could you teach me?"
Midoriya asked "The dance?" Eri nodded, Midoriya mirroring her action which brought a big smile to Eri's face.
However, Eri's smile dropped as she then said "I never saw you after everyone saved me..."
"Hey, don't worry about me. Look, I'm okay!" I hummed and moved towards them, to take Eri and to add "Yeah, Y/n is strong Eri. In fact, she saved me." Eri looked to Midoriya, amazed.
"You saved Mr Aizawa?" She just looked to me and I nodded, adding "In more ways than one." Eri turned her head to look at me.
