Y/Ns P.O.V
Holding Eri's hand, we walked down the hallways of the hospital to the room we'd been given directions to.
"Is Dadzawa gonna be okay?" Looking down at Eri I smiled "If anyone is to get through this, it'd be Mr Aizawa. Don't worry Eri!" She nodded, then stopping beside me as we reached the door. I crouched and tucked a stray hair behind her ear "Mr Aizawa might be not awake, and if he is, he's probably on a lot of medication to help him. So don't be worried if he's asleep or not his usual self, okay?" She nodded before eagerly saying "Can we go see him now?" I nodded and stood back up to open the door.
Eri rushed in and whisper yelled "Dadzawa, me and Y/n have come to see you!"
Following her into the room I saw her climb into the seat beside his bed, her then looking over to me and whispering "Dadzawa is asleep..." I nodded and moved over, beginning to get the cards and various other items Eri and others had insisted on me bringing. "How about you arrange these beside his bed?" She nodded and eagerly reached for the items I held.
Eri placed each item carefully and after every item touched the cabinets surface she looked over at Aizawa as if she feared waking him up, but her eyes held a hope of him waking up so she could talk to him.
Once the last item was placed she looked over at me and whispered "He looks different." I nodded but decided to ask I crouched to be eye level with her "How so?" She looked to Aizawa and tilted her head "He looks... relaxed... Do I bother Mr Aizawa?" She looked back to me and I could see the tears in her eyes, brushing through her hair I shook my head "Of course not Eri... Mr Aizawa doesn't do anything without thought... He just looks relaxed now because at the moment he's asleep and unable to think about everything. Mr Aizawa is usually very busy with hero work and teaching, that's a lot on one persons plate but he wouldn't do it if he didn't want to!"
Me and Eri had been in the room for a while and Eri began to cry "I don't want to lose Mr Aizawa as well!" Quickly bringing her into my arms, I tried to calm her but she kept sobbing "Shush, it's okay Eri, no one is leaving you... He's just sleeping." She wouldn't calm down and I didn't know what to do.
Looking through my memories for a time I was soothed, I didn't find one. I began to panic, not wanting Eri to remain in her current state and have her quirk activate. Pulling Eri up from the chair, I began to walk around the room with her in my arms, trying to rock her.
As I paced an image of my mother came to mind, from many years ago, and I began to hum along.
"Somewhere over the rainbow"
Eri still continued to cry.
"Way up high"
Eri moved her head to look at me, tears still rolling down her cheeks.
"And the dreams you dream of"
Eri began wiping at her tears.
"Once in a lullaby"
Eri leaned her head on my shoulder and looked up at me, still sniffling.
"Somewhere over the rainbow"
Eri was looking confused but she had calmed, still, I continued.
"Bluebirds fly"
I smiled down at Eri as her face relaxed, not looking so confused.
"And the dreams you dream of"
She began to hum along, even as her eyes began to close.
"Dreams really do come true"
Humming some more, I swayed slightly allowing Eri to completely fall asleep.
Moving closer to Aizawa's hospital bed, I gently lowered Eri into the seat so I didn't have to worry about holding her and waking her with any movement I made.
