Coach Lawrence jogged back to their starting point, completely out of breath as Aja returned the now wrecked car slowly. "Wha-What the-?!" He wheezed.
"So... how did we do?" Krel asked with a nervous smile.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY CAR?!" Coach Lawrence cried out, rushing over to get a better look at the terrible state it was now in. "And where's Pepperjack?!"
At that moment, Eli sped by in the parallel parking car, Shannon's screams being mixed with the tires screeching. "I'VE NEVER BEEN KISSED!" Shannon confessed, thinking she was going to die. He drifted the car into the designated parking zone, getting it perfectly in between the pylons. Not a single traffic cone tipped over, and the dust settled down. "I did it? I did it! I Tokyo Drifted!" Eli cheered happily, unaware of Shannon's hyperventilating right beside him. "I Tokyo Drifted." Eli crossed his arms with pride. Coach Lawrence couldn't even form a single sentence. And when he saw one of the tires fall right off of the orange car the other three were in, Lawrence bubbled over his breaking point and released a scream while looking up at the endless blue sky......(Y/n) hauled the huge chunk of machinery into the scanner of the mothership, Krel Aja and Varvatos behind her when she did so who were all in their natural forms. She backed up and let the Akiridion's take the reigns from there. Mother scanned the piece from the Dreadnought and found a match.
"I have traced the metallic signature of the debris you recovered to the Tiberian Dreadnought."
Varvatos gasped shallowly when he saw the familiar holographic replica of the ship. "It can't be!"
"Oh, it can." Mother confirmed, showing holographic charts of the three bounty hunters that were responsible for the abrupt attack. "It would appear the lifeforms you encountered were the Zeron Brotherhood."
They looked at the three Zeron's, fear etched on their faces. The leader, Alpha, had the appearance of a jackal, the other looked like a reptile, Omega, and the last looked like a cat, Beta. (y/n) doesn't know anything about these bounty hunters, or what they could have done. But she can tell that these guys meant business. Which also meant that Krel and Aja were in deep trouble.
Aja looks over at Varvatos, who had a nervous look in his eyes. "Commander Vex looks afraid. Which makes me afraid." She mentions, not used to seeing the stone cold and stoic Akiridion warrior so worried. With his four eyes, Varvatos looks over to Aja and back at the hologram of the Zerons with a scowl.
"Varvatos is never afraid!" He boomed, before grumbling a bit. "But for them... he is tempted to make an exception."
(y/n) rubbed her arm with a gulp. "We were nearly kidnapped by them in broad daylight. It's like they didn't even care about revealing their identities to everyone." She spoke, partially just to herself.
"They are walking instruments of death. They elicit fear, dread, and the occasional incontinence." Varvatos announced, looking between the three bounty hunters coldly.
Krel tried to lighten the mood with a witty comment. "They sound like your kind of people." He chuckled nervously, shrugging his upper arms while the other two drooped by his sides. Varvatos didn't respond to Krel's words, only continuing his monologue. "The Zerons are without honor. They have no respect for the rules of engagement."
"Or civilians." Mother added to the commanders claim. "Countless graves have been filled by their campaigns of terror."
Varvatos kept a serious expression on his face, however his eyes flickered with mourning. "Mother, show them the aftermath of the Commerce Guild bombing." Varvatos orders, the hologram of the Zerons disappearing and being replaced to a life like holographic setting. (y/n) followed with them as they looked around the debris of a destroyed interplanetary city.
"The Commerce Guild bombing on Satellite-9."
(y/n) lingered behind, keeping herself out of this. Nothing here involved her, and it would only be rude if she were to make herself apart of this conversation. However, her heart ached with sympathy, sensing the clear pain and grief in the stale and palpable air that happened during this time in the past. And while she could never understand what this could possibly feel like, she knew this was nothing short of a terrible tragedy. A tragedy that happened while all those here on Earth remain blissfully unaware of ever happening.
"That's you. And papa." Krel pointed out, seeing the commander and the Akiridion King frozen in time, paused in a moment of pure anguish. Varvatos spoke again. "The Zerons orchestrated the entire attack to apprehend one bounty. They killed hundreds of life beings in the process." Looking closer, gray and lifeless life cores were held in Varvatos' hands, the pain and grief etched deeply across his face. "Varvatos's family was amongst them..."
