It was night time in Arcadia, mostly all of its residents asleep waiting for the morning to come. Standing right outside of the Tarron's 'house', Beta snarls dragging his claws into the dirt impatiently. With a huff he turns to look at his brothers standing behind him. Alpha narrows his eyes and speaks. "Go. Hunt." He spoke lowly. With the order, Beta growls and lunges forward on all fours.
Meanwhile in the restoration chambers within the motherships inners Varvatos stood between the pods holding the King and Queen of Akiridion-5. "You would be proud of Aja. She gamely faced a dangerous bounty hunter and emerged victorious in battle,"Varvatos told with pride, even if the royals couldn't hear him during their stasis. "And received a B-plus on her English paper. That's a language here, and B is a letter. It seemed very important to her."
"Commander Vex, there appears to be a cat-like creature-"
"Silence! Varvatos Vex is in the midst of a debrief." Varvatos waved away Mother dismissively, ignoring what the AI had to say.
Beta comes charging towards the house with destructive intent, his claws out ready to strike only to be blasted back by the motherships forcefield. Beta gets forced back and crashes into the fence with a growl and groan.
"As for Krel, Varvatos believes he is begrudgingly starting to acclimate to this dump heap. The royal children are currently spending the night with an unusual, but trustworthy human named (y/n) with her equally strange Durian father in what is called a sleep over-"
"Unknown being attempting to breach perimeter. Permission to vaporize?"
Varvatos growled and clenched his fists angrily as Mother interrupted him again. "If there is to be any vaporization, it shall be done by Varvatos!" He announced, marching out of the restoration chambers with heavy steps, the holographic blue inverted teardrop that mother has taken following him. "It's been too long since he killed something."
Beta snarls angrily outside, rising back to his feet and extending his claws more. With vigor, Beta hacks and swipes repeatedly at the force field that blocked his way inside.
"Intruder alert." Mother repeated over and over again. Varvatos stepped out of the motherships cockpit and into the mock house on the surface. Luug was barking against the glass sliding door, growling and clawing against the glass as a flashing blue light illuminated the backyard. Varvatos approaches the sliding door to investigate, squinting his small four eyes with a sour look on his face. "A cat-like creature indeed." He grunted, watching as a feline jumped onto the top of the fence with a short meow, grooming its fur with its tongue. "Hardly worthy of Varvatos' attention." Varvatos dismissed, making his way back to the mothership's hidden entrance into the cockpit. He was stopped when a static like voice began to speak from somewhere in the kitchen.
"Lord and Lady Tarron, can you hear me?" The feminine voice echoed, her voice cutting out slightly before coming back again. Varvatos recognized her voice, it belonging to Zadra who was left on Akiridion-5 during their abrupt flee.
"Lieutenant Zadra?" Varvatos questioned, marching towards the source of her voice. The giant commander began to open and shuffle through the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen. Mother was still trying to get Varvatos' attention of the intruder and Luug was still barking loudly. Varvatos didn't stop searching, finally pulling out a drawer with a decent sized communication device. It was beeping and glowing blue, and clearly of Akiridion origin. He grabbed it and held it up closer to his face.
"Prince and Princess Tarron, can you hear me?" Zadra continued to call for the royals. Varvatos holds the device up to his ear- or, the side of his head where an ear would be. "Varvatos heard you, Lieutenant, and is grateful to discover you're not dead!" He says, trying to get the Akiridion on the other line to hear him. More static blares from the device, making it hard to hear Zadra's voice, but her voice breaks through the sound. "If you can hear me, there was a traitor on Akiridion-5. Sweet Seklos, this blasted-" Her voice gets cut off again, making it harder for Varvatos to listen.
Beta continues to slash at the perimeter that was blocking his way into the house, growing more impatient with each hit. Not long after, Omega tries to assist the fellow Zeron. "Beta, step aside!" Omega warns, swinging their tail which fired a projectile into the force field once Beta cleared the way. The projectile fizzled out once it made contact with the shield, still intact and no signs of damage whatsoever. Alpha placed a hand on Omega's shoulder, pulling their attention away from the disguised house. "Their shields are too strong, brother."
"Then we must devise another means of attack." Alpha says coldly, nodding to Beta who stalked back to them. The Zerons retreat back to their ship, out of sight when Varvatos suddenly opens the sliding door to look out again after the relentless warnings from another. His eyes scanned the area, seeing nothing that was out of the ordinary other than the same cat that leaped onto the hood of the pickup truck that was parked in the drive way. Varvatos groans lowly with annoyance, turning his attention back to the communication device in his hands.
"If you can hear me, I know the identity of the traitor. Repeat. I know the identity of the traitor!" Zadra announced with urgency. Varvatos paused, feeling a wave of dread wash over him.
