[A/N: Just a really small, cute chapter that I have written years ago, and edited tonight because I felt like it. More drama to come next time.]
Alison
'Ali?'
'Yeah?' I looked up from the book I was reading on the couch. It was already late, but Oliver and I had slept in this morning since he wasn't needed at the studio today and I only had two shoots in the afternoon.
My photographing business was going well here; since I didn't have a studio here, I offered shoots at home and outside. Now it was late April and full spring, family shoots in the flowery meadows and hills around Sheffield were really popular. The weather had been nice today, and I felt my nose and cheeks were a bit sunburned from being outside.
Oliver had been home, working on whatever he had his mind on. He had been on the phone with Jordan a lot, talking about their new music and the album release soon. He was getting more and more anxious about it, but now his medication was doing wonders again, he was also getting really excited about it.
I was really proud of him, because he was doing so well and he was so incredibly talented. Jordan had been working on giving the band a new sound but staying true to their old one too, and every piece of music I had heard so far that was done sounded exciting.
'Al?!'
'What?,' I hollered back at him, still not looking up from my book - it was really good and I was really invested in the story right now.
'Come here, I want you to hear this.' I sighed and rolled my eyes. It wasn't the first time in the past days that he was calling me into his workspace for me to listen to a part of a song that was done mixing.
'Okay...' I put my book away and got up, sauntering into the spare bedroom. He was staring at his laptop, looking at his phone when it dinged and a text popped up.
'Hey,' he smiled, pulling me on his lap. I chuckled when he softly kissed my neck.
'What do you want me to listen to?'
'Deathbeds is done mixing,' he said, opening a file on his laptop.
'Wait, what?' I looked at him in surprise.
'It's really good.'
'Even with my voice?,' I asked, still insecure about it.
'Especially with your voice,' he answered, kissing my nose. He gave me his headphones and started the song. He had tried to explain to me what he wanted it to sound like with the instrumentals, but I was not musically schooled, so I had no idea what he had been on about. But I liked what I heard, and I smiled a bit when Oliver's voice popped up. Soon after, mine followed and my eyes looked at Oliver, who was looking at me in eager anticipation. I bit my lip and focussed on the song again, listening intently. It gave me goosebumps, and I was really surprised at how we sounded together - much better than I had feared.
Suddenly, I got a bit emotional because the lyrics made me realize what we had been through together in the past half year, and how intensely we had bonded over it.
'Tides will bring me back to you...' I pulled the headphones off and looked back at Oliver.
'And?,' he asked, scanning my face for my reaction. I cupped his face and kissed him deeply. He smiled a bit and pulled me closer to him, and for a breathless long moment we were lost into each other. We made out like that for a while, the chemistry in the song being ten times more intense in real life, until things got more heated and he pulled my top off. Oliver got up with me in his arms, my legs around his waist as he stumbled towards the bedroom. I laughed when he dropped me on the bed and hovered over me, his lips quivering the skin in my neck and down ever so lightly. I let him, closing my eyes and biting my lip when he opened my bra and took it off, getting up and taking his own shirt off too. I let my eyes trail the many colourful tattoos on his upper body. I had been looking at them many times, but there was always something I hadn't noticed yet.
