Alison

I pulled my phone out of my pocket when it went off, smiling when Oliver's name popped up on my screen.

'Hey, I'm still at the supermarket, what do you want?,' I asked, thinking he had forgotten to put something on the shopping list.

'Can you do me a favour? Bring a copy of Kerrang! Magazine home?,' he asked.

'Eh, why?' I frowned at his request and threw a pack of two avocados in my basket.

'Because the interview from Leeds is out, and I want to know what she wrote about me.' I made a face and cocked an eyebrow.

'And you suddenly care so much about what she wrote about you, because...?'

'Ali, just buy one, okay?'

'Alright, if it's so important to you...' I rolled my eyes and picked up a bunch of bananas, inspecting them.

'Thank you.' Then he hung up.

'Well, I love you too, I guess,' I muttered, frowning a bit as I stared at the disconnected call on my phone. Ever since we had gotten home from Leeds last week, Oliver had seemed a bit agitated. He had been checking his phone a lot, a dark look on his face when he did. He didn't want to tell me what was going on, which annoyed me, but for once I had just let him. I trusted in the idea that he would come to me with whatever was bothering him when he was ready.

I gathered my groceries, picked up a copy of Kerrang!, and paid. I threw everything on the backseat of Oliver's matt black Tesla and got in, smirking when two passing men looked after me when I did. I drove off – a little too fast, but who cared – wondering to myself what Oliver's obsession with that magazine was now. Surely that encounter with that Penny from Kerrang! at Leeds had been weird, especially since Oliver had seemed so agitated with her.

'Oli, I'm home. I've got your Kerrang!,' I hollered through the hallway when I came back. The door of his home studio opened and he came out.

'Give it to me.'

'What's the deal with you and that Penny anyway?,' I asked him, keeping the magazine out of his reach with my arm when he wanted to take it from me. 'I'd like a 'thank you, love' first, please?' Oliver gave me a stare and I chuckled, stretching my arm a little more from him. Then, his hand grabbed the magazine and took it from me.

'Thanks, love,' he said sarcastically, kissing me. He turned around and I shook my head at him already browsing through the magazine.

'No need for help!,' I called after him while I dragged the two bags of groceries to the kitchen. Oliver didn't even hear me; he was leaning against the kitchen counter, reading the interview. I peeked over his shoulder to the magazine. 'I like the photo they used of you and the lads,' I said. Oliver made a disapproving sound and bit his thumbnail, his face in a frown.

'Hear this,' he just said, turning around to me while I started putting groceries in the fridge. 'Oli Sykes has been particularly quiet during this interview, as if being so open and honest last time has been enough. Asking his partner – ex-wife Alison –'

'What?!,' I let out at hearing my name. 'What do I have –' Oliver put his hand over my mouth and kept reading out loud.

'- later on about him, isn't giving any more information as to why the front man of Bring Me The Horizon is so voiceless during our meeting. Alison refuses to talk about him, and admits she has never even listened to Amo, the bands newest studio album – which might be a bliss for her, since there is quite some material on it about their split a few years ago.' Oliver threw me a look and I stared at him in disbelief.
