Oliver

We hadn't talked about her going home yet, and I really didn't want to think about it right now. Being with her again felt like a bliss, and this entire weekend had made me realize that I never wanted to be without her again.

This morning at my parent's had been so familiar; we had spent a lot of Sundays like this before, when we had been together. Alison had always fitted in my family so effortlessly. My parents adored her, and when she had left me, she had also left a huge void at family gatherings for a long while. But now she was back, and she had no trouble at all to take her place and make it feel like she had never been gone in the first place.

Alison was sitting at the dinner table, her camera connected to her laptop, her eyes glued to her screen. She was editing the photos of the engagement shoot she had done last Friday, but it didn't work out as she wanted, because she was frowning and grunting softly. I looked at her from the couch, dividing my attention between Final Fantasy and her, my thumbs still moving over the controller while my eyes were stuck on her troubled face. I chuckled.

'What's wrong?,' I asked, looking back at the tv again.

'Nothing,' she sighed, rubbing her face and closing her laptop. 'I hoped to get those photos done and be able to sent them to the couple this weekend, but nothing is working out like I want it too, and I'm too distracted anyway.' I glanced at her again and then paused my game.

'Distracted by what?,' I asked while I got up and walked her way. She cocked an eyebrow at me and smirked a bit. I laughed and pulled her off her chair into my arms, kissing her. Alison chuckled and smiled up at me. She looked happy, her grey eyes were bright and being out in the sun yesterday had caused the faint freckles on her nose and cheekbones to pop up a bit.

'Do you want to stay another night?,' I muttered at her.

'Depends on what you bribe me with,' she joked. I made a face as if I was in deep thought for a while. Alison laughed and wrapped her arms around my waist, looking up at me in anticipation.

'A homecooked dinner, a few bad jokes and maybe, if you behave -' I grinned at the defiant look on her face now '- I'll let you sleep in my bed tonight.' I rose my eyebrows and held in a chuckle as I waited for her to respond.

'Sounds awful, I'd rather go home then,' she then said, letting go of me. I threw my head in my neck and put my hands on my heart in acted agony.

'Ouch,' I said, making her laugh.

'Or - what's for dinner?,' she then asked, feigning a slight interest. I shrugged.

'We can take out some Indian at Kohinoor?,' I opted. Alison frowned.

'What happened to 'homecooked'?,' she chuckled as she sat back down behind her laptop.

'That was just a trap to keep you interested,' I said. She threw me a look.

'I'm already interested, no need to trap me.' I smiled and shook my head, watching her open her laptop again and biting her lip as she continued where she left.

'You know what I do when I get stuck at working on something?,' I said. Alison looked up again.

'You put on some music,' she muttered, smiling. I nodded and pulled my phone out of my pocket, connecting it to the speaker set around the house and opening a playlist I had once made to be able to focus, then handing my phone to her.

'You choose whatever stimulates you.'

'Oh, I know what stimulates me,' she threw back with a meaningful, cheeky look at me. I laughed and shook my head, making her chuckle. She scrolled through the playlist, one I often used to get a creative energy flow back in my system. 'Britney Spears, Oliver? Really?,' she then asked me, an unbelieving look on her face. I just shrugged and plopped down on the couch, resuming my game while she picked a song. For a while we just did our own thing; she was back at editing, which went better than before seen as she was focused now, and I was just playing my game while the playlist went on song after song. Then my phone buzzed, and Alison threw a quick look at it. She frowned and picked it up, looking at me now.
