'Fine,' I said sternly, grabbing my bag and opening the door to get out of the car.
'What are you doing?'
'Leaving you alone. That's what you want, right? Or maybe I got it wrong, because we don't even seem to know each other that well at all!' I got out and slammed the door as hard as I could, walking off and ignoring the sound of Oliver opening his door and coming after me.
'You're right, we obviously don't know each other. Making me realize that maybe we got into this way too fucking fast!,' he yelled after me. I turned around, my hair flipping around and my eyes shooting fire.
'At least we're agreeing on something,' I spat, ignoring the people who passed us staring at us on the street. 'But if you think that we got into this way too fast, then why did you even asked me to marry you in the first place?!'
'Because it felt right at that time,' Oliver said, his voice lowering in volume. His face softened a bit.
'Yeah, exactly. At that time. Just like I hated the guts out of you, at that time. You know, maybe Brian was right; maybe I am blinded by everything you made me feel, but in the end you're still the guy I hated years ago!'
'What?' Oliver narrowed his eyes and opened his hands with the palms up as if asking for a reason. 'Fuck you!'
'No, fuck you. You are the one who started all this, Oliver!'
'How?!'
'Because you were the one who got me sick!,' I screamed. I felt tears streaming down my face now, and I watched as my words hit full target. Oliver's face fell and he stared at me in horror.
'You're being unreasonable,' he hissed at me. 'It's not only my fault, we were both there.' I wiped my tears away and silently cursed him for being right, and myself for being such a bitch. He sighed and raked his fingers though his hair, looking at the people staring at us fighting. 'Look, Ali... I'm sorry for what happened to you, and I am sorry that I have a part in it, but I just don't get why you kept it a secret for so long!'
'Well, it's not like we have been the best of friends from the beginning,' I said, rolling my eyes in annoyance and crossing my arms over my chest.
'You never gave me a chance to get to know you,' Oliver answered defiantly.
'Oh really? Maybe I never attempted to get closer to you because you were behaving like a total cunt!' He laughed joylessly and shook his head, letting it hang while putting his hands in the pockets of his jeans and shifting his feet over the ground.
'Whatever.' He turned around and walked back to the car. 'Get in, we're going to your parents.' He looked back when he noticed I wasn't following him and I shook my head.
'No. I'm not going to visit my parents with you while we're arguing like this.'
'Then what do you want?,' he sighed in annoyance while opening the door of the car. He stared at me while I was dragging my words.
'I need some space.' Oliver threw his hands in the air as a last resort, shaking his head again.
'Fine.'
'I just think we've been too intense in the past months.'
'Whatever.'
'Oliver...' I cocked my head and walked up to him.
'No, it's fine. Go. Go find your space.' There was some sarcasm laced in his words, and it hurt me to know he wasn't taking me seriously. 'What do you want, Ali? You say you want space, but it feels like you only want to be closer.' You're right! I screamed on the inside. You're so right! I want to get closer to you, in every aspect! I want to know every single stupid little detail and fact about you. I want you to take me in your arms and kiss my head like you always do, and I want you to tell me you love me, and make stupid jokes that aren't funny but yet they are!
