'Alison...,' he then said, bringing his eyes back to me.
'I know...' We looked at each other. 'I know you're sorry. I know it didn't mean anything to you. And... I'm sorry too.' Relief washed over his face at my words, and a small smile curled his lips.
'I just froze and my brain just... I didn't know what to do,' he muttered. He looked troubled again, and his weary eyes caught mine. I cocked my head a little and shoved closer to him, cupping his face with a hand. He sighed softly and relaxed at my touch, his eyes full of sudden emotion.
'I'm really sorry, I would never do anything to hurt you. Trust me, please?'
'I know,' I whispered. Oliver sniffed his nose.
'What a full mess we made...'
'We'll get over it,' I said. He pouted and nodded a bit, then opened his arms to me. I smiled and nestled against him as he made us both comfortable on the couch while lying down. I put my head on his chest and listened to his soft heartbeat, closing my eyes.
'I hope so...'

Oliver
My head was throbbing when I woke up, and my back and neck were stiff. I sighed deeply and rubbed my face before opening my eyes, grunting a bit while I sat up. I looked around and frowned, taking in my surroundings before realising I was at Tom's place.
'Ey sleeping beauty,' I heard my brother say. I looked around and saw him sitting at the table, a cup of coffee within reach while he was scrolling his phone.
'Where's Ali?,' I asked, suddenly a bit alarmed at her absence.
'She just left,' Tom said.
'Why?! Is she still angry?!' Tom chuckled.
'No, of course not, moron. Oskar had to go out.' I frowned and shook my head, wishing I hadn't because it didn't help for the headache. 'Coffee?' I nodded and listened to Tom pour me some coffee and putting it down in front of me.
'Thanks...' Tom sat down next to me and we stayed in a comfortable silence for a moment. Tom and I had always been good as brothers, and I was thankful for him in my life. Despite the situation with Alison in the past, we were still on good terms and liked being around each other. I felt strengthened and comfortable with him by my side, knowing that he would always look out for me as I would for him. I was the problem kid, and he was just my little brother.
'Tom?,' I then asked.
'Hmm?' He looked up from his phone for a second, smiling while typing a message.
'What you said about Alison last night -'
'What did I say about her?,' he asked, finishing his message and now paying me his full attention.
'You said you wouldn't take her for granted, if you were me.'
'Yeah, because I wouldn't?,' he replied, not understanding where I was going with this.
'Do you still have... You know, feelings -' I stopped talking at his loud huff, followed by a chuckle.
'Oli, please...We've been over this.'
'Do you?,' I pressed. Tom shook his head.
'I don't. I do, however, still care a lot about her, because she is a great girl. I am glad to call her my friend and sister in law.' He gave me a meaningful look and I chuckled. 'Can we drop it, now?'
'Yeah... Sorry. I'm just -'
'An insecure little cunt,' Tom finished my sentence.
'Oi!'
