Mary the project didn't catch his attention i'm panicking what am i going to do i don't think i can do this
She was probably typing a bit faster than she can think, typos and spelling mistakes in every sentence as she didn't have time to correct them properly in the classroom. Correction; the classroom where Interim Principal Señor Uhl was substituting at. Eva's eyes scanned the screen as the typing bubble showing that Mary was typing out her response appeared, making her wait anxiously for Mary's reply. Mary seemed like the kind of girl to go to when it came to impressing boys. Mary was her dating coach, Claire as her support, and Darci was her reality checker. It was a good system. Maybe.
Girl, I'm in the middle of an algebra test.
Oh wow, well isn't that helpful. Soon after, a new text pops up.
If you really want to make the first move and have Krel notice it, try asking him to the prom in a couple of days. That's like the ultimate "I like you" card. If he says yes then you got a shot!
The prom...
"Eva!"
"Nothing! I'm-" The peculiar girl immediately turned off her device practically threw her phone onto the desk screen down, "I'm doing... nothing..." she blinked, looking between Krel and Aja who had whisper called for her attention and their bewildered expressions at her sudden outburst. And everyone else's. After a few seconds everyone looked away to mind their own business and (y/n) fixes herself. "Ahem- Whats up?" (y/n) asks, acting as nonchalant like nothing happened.
"That unidentified flying object model you have," Aja begins, pointing to the spacecraft saucer display she had on her desk. "Is it real?"
(y/n) scoffed, playing off her internal emotions with a wave of her hand like it was obvious. "You think I'll have Elijah spreading fake information about something as serious as alien ships landing on Earth? Of course this thing is real." (y/n) assured, putting her hand down onto the models bulbous top. The touch caused it to tip off the rod it was displayed on making (y/n) gasp and scramble to put it back together. Her hands slowly left its sides, making sure it wouldn't fall again before returning to the conversation. "In fact instead of unidentified flying object, I like to call it just a flying object, or just simply FO. Cause I know what it is, and therefore it isn't unidentified to me. Hah." She stated with a small cheeky smile on her face as she looked between the two Akiridions. Specifically towards Krel. Trying to get some sort of reaction. But the two twins didn't mention anything about it and pushed right past it.
"And is it truly located at a military base here in Arcadia?" Krel added to the question.
Eva's expression fell into uncertainty, looking at the ship model and at the two royals waiting for her answer intently. "Well, I... uhh..." She wanted to be the person they go to for answers, answers she could give with ease and pride herself with her abundant knowledge on both Earth and Non-Earth topics. However, that wasn't always the case. "I don't actually know for sure. That part is always a bit vague and diluted whenever I try to get answers." (y/n) shrugged her shoulders, rubbing the top of her head as she confessed.
Krel and Aja looked to each other with shared expressions of determination. They were set on figuring this information out. "We need to find someone reliable," Krel began.
"Wha- I'm-!" (y/n) stammered with disbelief and annoyance, but her voice was low and look over easily.
"Someone who has heard of this military base." Krel continued, the cogs in his mind turning behind his eyes."I don't know anything about it, I've never heard of it, I have never been there, and I am certainly never going back." Stuart claimed, standing up on the small balcony on the upper floor of his electronics shop. Below him was Krel, Aja, (y/n), and Varvatos. The Durian spoke with a nervous warble in his voice, speaking with a firmness that made it clear he wanted nothing to do with this conversation anymore and definitely wanted nothing to do with where it was going.
"Huh. So, you have been there?" Krel mentioned with a hint of curiosity in his voice as he caught a slip up in Stuart's statement.
Immediately Stuart stiffened up and realized he was figured out. "Kleb!" The odorous man cursed under his breath.
"What? So there is a military base? A real one?" (y/n) stepped forward, shocked to learn about this information that has been withhold from her. This entire time she was doubting herself if the encyclopedia on the alien freak websites she and Eli vist was true or not when all this time she could have asked Stuart. "And you've actually been there! Why didn't you ever tell me about that?"Eva continued to interrogate, narrowing her eyes slightly at the secrets that have been hidden from her by her own caregiver. How many other secrets did Stuart have hidden underneath his red bathrobe and green frog slippers of his that he was keeping away from her? Stuart only made a sound of dismissal, "Bah, it was never important for you to know at the time!" Stuart defended himself which only made (y/n) cross her arms in front of her with a slightly narrowed look in her eyes.
Varvatos marched over to the ladder and began to climb up to where Stuart was with the usual intense look on his wrinkled face. "Feel free to maintain your silence, Stuart. Enhanced interrogation is a favorite hobby of Varvatos Vex!" Varvatos proclaimed with violent excitement, using his human walking cane to lift the large durian in disguise by the collar of his robes and hang him off the edge of the balcony threateningly. With a shriek, dropping all the electronics in his hands for Aja and Krel to catch, Stuart swung his feet helplessly as he dangled over thin air with the risk of being dropped. Which wouldn't kill him, but with how his human body has been recently the landing would probably kill his ankles and knees. "You should really find some less creepy hobbies, Vexy!" Stuart blubbered out. "Perhaps canasta?"
"Stuart!" Varvatos shouted demandingly, anger flashing clearly across the commanders features. Stuart flinched hard and immediately was cracked like an egg, forced to reveal the yolks of everything he knew about this military base and the treasure just waiting within it. "Alright, fine, I'll spill!" Stuart gave in, finally released by the brutal Varvatos Vex and came crashing to the ground below at the younger three's feet "EEK- Oof!" He squealed before landing with a loud thud. "Not literally, but thank you..." Stuart winced as he tried to get assistance in getting up. Instead Krel knelt down to speak to Stuart directly with eager interest. "So the rumors are true. Is it a research facility?" Krel inquired, staring down at the man who laid face first against the cold tiles of his store and had to help himself up.
Stuart looked like he was about a scowl. Scoff or even scorn. Each mention of the military base made him grimace like he heard nails on a chalkboard. With a strained grunt, Stuart spoke as he got up to his feet. "If by 'research' you mean sticking interplanetary life-forms under a microscope, then sure, yes, it's research." He says bitterly. Immediately the dots were connected that Stuart had a bad past with this place. Probably long ago, which is why he wanted to never even have that place mentioned in his presence again. "This is the real deal, baby. In sixty years, no life-form has ever managed to escape Area 49-B. Except for one." Stuart says proudly, standing in silence awaiting for the praise to come piling in. Instead he got dead silence. "...I'm pausing for dramatic effect."
"Trust me, we know." (y/n) commented with a held back grin trying to remain impassive. She knew very well who Stuart was referring to, but he was just too easy to mess around with sometimes.
Stuart snorted with an irked look before waiting again for the others. "You're more than welcome to guess." Stuart made clear, standing tall with his chest puffed out with pride. Just to make it obvious, he pointed his thumbs to himself with a chuckle, looking between the three Akiridions with anticipation.
"Not a clue."
"No one comes to mind."
"I've yet to meet any intelligent life on this planet."
Their answers made Stuart's face fall, and he groaned with desperation. "Hello?!"Stuart began with annoyance, grabbing the object that was a lanline phone from Aja's hand like he was answering a phone call. "Me, Stuart! Me!" Stuart answered for them. "I escaped the dreadful facility. They pulled me right out of my spacecraft!"
