As she walked briskly towards the Kasnian Conglomerate- Meg traveled further and further away from the Waverider. Tears stained her cheeks- but she used the sleeve of her rough wool uniform to wipe them away.

She did all those things.

And could never forgive herself for it.

Quickly she blended into the crowds of people walking about- which came easy for her. Meg was used to being invisible- since she has been for so long back in 2016.

She traveled from city to city- first to New York, then to Central City where she got into a car crash the night the Particle Accelerator exploded, to Midway City, and then finally to her home in Seattle. Meg blended in so seamlessly no one seemed to bother her.

But she hated how looking for her parents eventually ended up as a lost cause, because in reality- the kidnapper and murderer she was looking for was herself.

As she cautiously wandered around the Conglomerate, Meg kept her jaw clenched and hands in her pockets to keep her composure. She took in the scenery around her- which was actually quite nice. The buildings were new and innovative, people were nice, and everything just seemed so peaceful. Why would Savage want to take over a world like this?

Well... he's certainly a dickhead- that was true as far as Meg was concerned.

As Meg came to the center of the Conglomerate, she turned the corner to go to the other side of the city. Why did she even run here in the first place? Savage was out here, he knew who Meg was, and knew exactly how to get into her head. Swearing under her breath, the redhead just continued walking, keeping her head down.

If Margaret wanted to go back to the Waverider, what good would come out of that? She just stormed out of there in a pissy, upset mood, nearly blasting Kendra out of the way. She felt bad for leaving, because she knew that whatever help she put into the team was different than the next person. They needed it- but Meg wasn't entirely sure she wanted to go back.

A part of Meg wanted to go back because it was the right thing to do. She needed to tell the others what she discovered from her blackout memories- that she worked for Savage and killed her family.

The other part of her was saying just to get out of there. Everyone time she closed her eyes- she say Kyle, her father- those innocent people. Her brother died thinking her as a monster. Meg was the reason they died- when she only thought she was protecting them.

Her eyes shifted to the paved floor, where she hid her tearing eyes. Meg let her red hair fall into her face- which shielded her from the outside world of the Conglomerate. She was so tempted to just turn around and head back to the Waverider- to continue their mission with defeating Vandal Savage. To save the world and billions of innocent lives.

Meg looked up- trying to find where she came from so she could head back. But she was lost. The map on the computer wasn't as detailed as Margaret would like it to be, which made trying to get herself on the right path even trickier. Instead of doing the logical thing and just turn around, Meg kept going.

The buildings appeared bigger, highly decorated with stone statues and lavish gardens, and only grew fancier the further she walked. Meg decided she was in the wealthier part of the Conglomerate, perhaps where Per Degaton lived- only a teenager now. Maybe if Meg bumped into him, she could warn him about Savage's motives.
