After leaving the team's younger selves in the cargo bay- all busy with taking care of babies- Meg found herself in a crappier mood than usual.
Well... she knew that she couldn't reveal the future to her younger self. Not when Maggie would do basically anything to find out what happened to her family. Even if Meg told her- it would be too late. Savage would kill them either way- at Maggie's hand or not.
Meg was her at one point, seven or so years ago. Desperate, scared, not in control. A person who didn't know where they went every time they blacked out... she was a monster.
"Meg?" Sara tapped the redhead on the shoulder, shaking Meg from her bitter thoughts. She looked up, then offered a quiet smile, "You good?" The White Canary asked.
Shrugging her shoulders, Meg ran a hand through her red locks, "My younger self is a force to be reckoned with... she's desperate to find out what happened to her family, and I can't tell her." She said in a bitter tone.
"Tell me about it." Sara easily saw the conflict in my eyes, "Look, back then you may not have had control over your blackouts... But that wasn't entirely your fault. When I was apart of the League, I killed everyone I met... But I don't do that now. People change. You certainly did, Meg."
A small smile worked its way onto Meg's lips, "Thanks Sa-"
"Meg, Sara, Ray's next. The Pilgrim is in Star City 2014 at Palmer Tech. Move it."
The redhead groaned. "Why us?"
Sara nudged her side and smiled, "Take this opportunity to work off some stress."
"Gideon, is Ray okay?" Meg, her voice bubbling with anger and concern. She and Sara took off- heading towards the exit of the ship.
"He's experiencing severe internal injuries which could be fatal if the Pilgrim is not stopped." Gideon replied in her usual monotone voice.
Meg glared furiously at the sight ahead of her as she and Sara exited the Waverider- where banging and clashing could be heard from the roof. She grabbed the prism around her neck tightly, moving quickly to the lab below.
"Sara, Meg- we're counting on you." Rip said through her earpiece. Giving a look to Sara, she gave the redhead a smile that said she was ready to kick ass. Meg often wished she could feel like that all the time.
"That's a lot of pressure." The Metahuman muttered under her breath, analyzing the vast number of solutions that could come from this.
If past Ray died, then present day Ray would die. If Ray died- then the team was screwed, and Meg didn't even know what she'd do. Then the whole team would likely fall apart from there.
Gold star for overthinking just about everything. (The cons of Meg's analytical mind).
Meg's blonde friend busted down the door of Ray's office- where he was having his ass handed to him.
The Pilgrim looked up, holding her rather big gun in her hand. She was intimidating, that was for sure... But Meg doubted it would beat an Assassin who went through the League of Assassins training twice, and a very angry narcoleptic Metahuman.
"Get away from him." Meg growled, her hands shaking with anger. She formed two giant orbs of light around her fists- and shot them at the Pilgrim with full force. She easily stopped the blasts in mid air.
"Not today, Miss Grace." She sneered, using Meg's own blow to send her into the wall.
The redhead sat up, clutching her head from the rush of light that just passed through her. It must have hurt other people worse because Meg could literally absorb light energy... but how the hell did the Pilgrim even do that?
