You were in your room on your bed, a notebook and a pencil in hand. You were doodling freely, your mind wandering just the same as it had done all that time ago. The page was filled with miscellaneous circles and squares and shapeless blobs, along with little words and phrases that you thought of as you scribbled aimlessly. You weren't really in tune to the world, so you weren't in the mindset to hear Sebastian's calls.
"(Y/N)!" Sebastian shouted as he finally peered into your bedroom. He threw a pillow at you from his place in the doorway, and you screeched as the object hit your face. You looked up at him, alarmed, and glare.
"Sebastian!" You whined, but he just laughed.
"That was the most terrified look I've ever seen you pull!" He managed to say between his spurts of laughter. You huffed and crossed your arms over your chest.
"You're such a jerk," you muttered, rolling off of your bed and walking out the door with him following close behind. He chuckled as you both made your way down to your kitchen. You opened the fridge and grabbed a drink before turning back around to face him. He was leaning against the counter, watching you carefully. You furrowed your eyebrows at him. "What's wrong?" You asked in concern.
He chuckled and shook his head. "Nothing, nothing at all," he replied simply. You tilted your head to the side and leaned against the counter across from him. You narrowed your eyes playfully, fiddling with your water bottle subconsciously.
"Why don't I believe you?" You asked suspiciously. He smirked and raised an eyebrow, shrugging.
"Don't know, sounds like a personal problem to me."
"Mm."
Sebastian sighed and stood up straight, stretching his arms above his head. "You're so weird," he commented, and you laughed.
"Agreed." You took another sip of water. "So, what brings you down to my neck of the woods?"
His muscles tensed and his arms dropped back down to his sides. His eyes went wide and he swallowed anxiously. "Oh, well, uh," he stuttered, his face turning red.
You huffed. "Okay, obviously something is wrong with you. What happened?"
He shook his head quickly. "No! No! Nothing happened! Everything is fine, I swear. I just... Came over here to ask you something. And now I'm not sure if I should really ask. That's all," he confessed with a light chuckle. You smiled at him.
"Well, whatever it is, ask when you're ready. I won't pressure you this time. Want to watch a movie?"
An hour later, you were both curled up on the couch underneath a pile of blankets. You were clutching onto your snack bowl protectively, but your gaze wasn't fixated on the characters on the screen. You had drifted off into your mind again, and now you seemed to be creepily staring at the coffee table in front of you.
In all honesty, you were thinking about Sebastian. You were wondering what he could have possibly wanted to ask you. As you fantasized about your best friend, the man himself was trying to get your attention. Again.
"(Y/N)? Hey, dork," he called out to you, shoving you with his shoulder. You snapped back into reality and turned your head to look at him.
"Yeah? Hm? What is it? What's wrong?" You practically shouted, alarmed. He laughed and smiled at you.
"What'cha thinking about?" He asked you, rocking back and forth slightly. A fight scene was rumbling away on the TV, but he turned away from it and sat criss cross facing you. You gained your bearings on real life again and looked over at him with a laugh.
