Requested by @thegirlwhoswriting, hope this is alright! <3 enjoy! I'm so incredibly sorry about how long this took. I had absolutely 0 inspiration for this one and I have no idea why. I'm never good with wedding or pregnancy related stories I've found- both reading and writing them. Not sure what that says about me, but it's probably nothing good.

You wrung your hands in worry as you paced across the carpeted floors of the living room that you shared with your husband Sebastian. Your eyes flickered down the hallway every few seconds to peer into the bathroom, as if looking away for a moment would get rid of the little plastic stick sitting on the counter. You knew deep down that this wasn't a dream and that you had to face this, but you could hardly bring yourself to breathe properly, let alone think about how to explain this to your husband.

It wasn't that you were scared that he would be angry. He wasn't like that. Your biggest worry was the fact that you hadn't actually talked about the possibility of having a family. A child is a huge responsibility, and you weren't sure how it would work with him being away all the time with his work. You knew you couldn't ask him to drop everything and stay with you, but you secretly hoped that he would try to cut back once the baby got here.

You finally let out a huff and made your way back down the hallway and into the bathroom. You picked up the pregnancy test, furrowing your brows in worry as you caught sight of the two little lines indicating a positive result. You then turned and walked out the front door of your house and down the the curb to chuck the test into your garbage bin. You closed the lid and brushed your hands off as you walked back inside.

Though you didn't feel as if you had fully processed the reality of your situation, you knew that you had to devise a plan to break the news to Sebastian. Telling him straight out that you were pregnant was far too stressful for you to actually go through with, and you supposed it would be quite fun to do something cute with the news. You only hoped that Sebastian would flash you one of his signature bright smiles and scoop you up in a hug when you told him. The thought had you absentmindedly smiling and placing a hand on your stomach, even though you weren't showing yet.

You did a quick search online of how other people have broken the news to their partners. There was the usual "buy a pair of baby shoes" and things like that, but there was one specifically that caught your eye and had you tossing your head back in a laugh.

Buns in the oven.

You weren't sure exactly how you were supposed to pull this off, since there was no photo or explanation as to what you were supposed to do, but you couldn't just pass this up. Perhaps it wasn't the most extravagant way to tell him, but it sounded cute, and it would still make a good story to tell later on.

You spent the remainder of your time before Sebastian got home from his read through planning out what you were to tell him. Your little speech was skating a bit around the real subject, but it was hinting enough for him to understand the point.

Or so you hoped.

You were sitting on the edge of the couch when the door opened, your foot tapping nervously against the ground. Your head snapped up to attention and you stood up to greet Sebastian. You could feel your heart pounding in your chest as he came into view. His eyes were tired, but they immediately lit up in a bright smile as soon as his gaze landed on you.

"Hey, sweetheart!" He greeted you happily, wrapping his arms around your waist and pressing a quick kiss to your lips. "How was your day?" He asked you, tilting his head to the side a bit as he still kept you pressed right up against him.

A small smile played on your lips and you kiss his jaw lightly. "It was good. How was the read through?"

He chuckled and began to rock back and forth with you, placing his head on top of your own so you could curl into his chest. "It was pretty good. It'll take some work to connect with my costar, but I think I can get him to open up," he explained.
