Finally Found You (Josh Dun x Reader)

You woke up with Josh's arms wrapped around you for the hundredth time in a row. Today marked the day that he had moved in with you and had been living with you for 2 months now.

Over time, you two have gotten extremely close. You two are closer than you were even when you were kids. Having him back in your life is an awesome feeling. On top of this, your crush for the drummer had grown immensely.

"Josh." You rolled over to face him. "Joshua." You poked his nose. He let out a grumbly noise and rolled over to face away from you.

Suddenly, you got an idea. You scooted a little bit closer to him and poked his nose again. Again, Josh rolled away from you. But this time, Josh rolled completely off of the side of the bed.

"Shit!" Josh exclaimed as he hit the floor with a loud thud. You had a fit of laughter as he stood up. "Sorry Josh I had to!" You laughed and scooted over for him to get back in bed if he wanted.

"You're lucky that you're you." He playfully glared at you as he got back into bed. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Josh froze a little, not sure what to say. "I-I mean, you're letting me stay in your apartment and all.. And we're really close I guess. If it weren't for that I'd beat you up!" Josh joked, pretending to punch your arm.

"I'm gonna miss this apartment and everything when I go back on tour." He slumped back against the pillows. "How soon do you leave?" You asked. "Three weeks."

Your heart plummeted. You hadn't realized how soon Josh had to leave to go back on tour with Tyler. "That soon?" You asked sadly. "Yea.. This one won't be too long. It's about 7 months or so."

"Seven months?!" You exclaimed. That was a long time without Josh. "Yea." Josh sounded upset by it too. "That's a long time without you." You mumbled. "And that's a long time without you too." He replied, looking over at you.

"We'll figure it out though, right? I can text you and call you and everything." He tried to sound as optimistic as possible about it.

"Of course we'll get it figured out. I mean, we don't have much of an option." You stretched. "We might as well enjoy the time you'll be here while it lasts right?" You shoved him playfully.

"Well duh." Josh shoved you back. "We should go out to breakfast!" His eyes suddenly lit up. "Well let me get ready first." You laughed. "Nooo no no. Pajama breakfast." He declared.

"Are you serious?" You asked. "Of course! Pajama breakfast sounds sick." He got up out of bed and pushed his bed head down slightly.

"See? I'm already ready to go." He put his hands on his hips. "Fine fine." You laughed. "Let's go!"

You and Josh finished your breakfast, and walked back to his car. You only got a couple weird looks, but it was totally worth it. Both of you had a blast.

"That was awesooome!" You buckled the seatbelt of the passenger seat. "Absoluuuutely!" Josh started the car after buckling himself in. "Wanna go back to the house and have a movie day?" You asked.

"How'd you know?" Josh gasped sarcastically as the car pulled out of the parking lot.

When you got home, both of you grabbed a bunch of blankets and spread them out in front of the tv. It was beautiful. After getting the blanket set out, you grabbed some pillows and picked out a movie.

The final movie you guys had picked was finally over. Though you enjoyed watching movies with Josh, it made for a long day. You stood up and stretched, and let out a long sigh. Josh did the same.

"That was pretty fun. Lots of good movies!" He smiled. "Absolutely!" You replied.

To be honest, most of the time you weren't even focusing on the movie. You had been thinking about Josh. Part of you wanted to ask about a relationship.

Of course you wanted to have a romantic relationship with him. Both of you were comfortable around each other and shared interests.

And someone you cuddled with every night for the past 2 months would have had to have thought about this stuff too, right?

"Helloooo?" Josh snapped his fingers in front of you. "W-What? Sorry." You jumped a little. "I asked if you wanted to go to bed." Josh chuckled at you. "Yea that sounds fine!" You replied and went back into Josh's room with him.

After both of you got comfy, Josh seemed to be acting a little weird. "You okay Josh?" You asked. "Mind if I talk to you about something real quick?" "Of course I don't mind. I'm here for you." You smiled.

Josh took a deep breath and let out a sigh. He seemed shaky. "I don't think we should be friends any more." Your heart dropped. "W-What?" Your heart crumbled. "No no not like that! I- oh my god I'm an idiot." He rambled nervously. His cheeks looked like they were on fire from his embarrassment. "I mean... I meant something kind of, different than friends? Like... Even different from best friends I mean." He messed with his shaky hands.

"I mean- not something bad different. I mean a good kind of different. Something kind of um- well... More... Than that?" He finally got all of the words out of his system. "J-Josh did you just... ask me ou-" "I understand if you don't want to because I don't want you to feel uncomfortable, but I really like you and-" "Josh!" You cut him off.

"Yes." You smiled. "I think something more than best friends would be nice." "R-Really?" Josh seemed surprised. "Absolutely." You nodded. Both of you smiled at each other and got down under the comforter. "So you're like, my girlfriend now?" He asked. "Yea. And you're my boyfriend now." You responded.

You could almost hear the grin on Josh's face when he said "Awesome. Now come here. I wanna cuddle n stuff." He pulled you close to him. It was weird to hear him say something about it directly for once. But it was okay now.

Now that you both were officially dating, cuddling was ten times better. It seemed more... Caring. Overall it was better at you slowly fell asleep in Josh's arms.
