Finally Found You (Josh Dun x Reader)

"(Y/N) come on! We have to go on mystery date number one today!" Josh was prodding at you. You finally opened your eyes, and saw that Josh had gotten completely ready while you were asleep. Quickly, you sat up in bed. "Why didn't you wake me up earlier?!" You hopped out of bed. "You looked too cute. Then I kiinda decided you should probably get up soon if we were going to get a good start on today." He replied, watching you scramble around the apartment for the things you needed to get ready.

"This isn't minute to win it." He laughed. "Oh shut up." You laughed. "I just want to look nice today!" "You look nice every day. But the place were going is still going to be there whether you take ten minutes to get ready or forty." Josh chuckled. "Alright. Forty it is then." You laughed, taking your clothes into the bathroom to get ready.

Josh was now driving to the first "mystery location" as he called them.Truth be told, you thought this was going to be an awesome day. Today and tomorrow were the only full days you guys could spend together here before you both had to leave to go back home.

Josh had taken you to a place of your choice to eat breakfast before you got into whatever you guys were doing that day. How sweet.

After closing your eyes (after Josh told you to quite a few times, you finally gave in.), you felt the car lurch to a stop. When you open your eyes, you were pleasantly surprised. "An aquarium?" Your eyes seemed to light up. "Yea! It's one of the first places I thought of." He admitted, and turned the car off after putting it into park.

You and Josh spent almost the entire day at the aquarium. There was so much to see! You had pointed out several things you liked. For some reason you particularly liked the clownfish. They were so cute! Josh didn't have much of a preference, and loved everything just as much as you did.

Once you had walked through the entire aquarium (a couple times.), both of you stopped at the gift shop. "Wait here." Josh told you, and made you wait by the exit. "Alrighty!" You stood there, rocking back and forth on your feet as you waited for him.

After a couple minutes, Josh walked up to you with his hands behind his back. Oh no. "(Y/N), close your eyes!" Josh sounded excited, so it must not be too bad. You followed his directions and closed your eyes. Everything was such a mystery today with him. You felt something being placed around your neck, and tensed up a little. "What are you doing?" You asked curiously. "You can open your eyes!"

Immediately, you opened your eyes and looked down. "Aww Josh..." You felt like your heart was going to explode. He had bought you a silver chain necklace with a pearl charm attached to it. "It's beautiful." You smiled. "Thank you." You went to hug him, but he stopped you. "Wait, wait! There's one more thing." He said.

Before he could say it, you closed your eyes again. You knew he would be mysterious about this too. "Okay now hold out your hands!" Again, he sounded excited. You did so, and felt something soft placed in your outstretched hands. When you opened them, you were holding a stuffed clownfish. "Oh my god! Josh it's so cute! Thank you!" You hugged him tightly, super excited about what he gave you.

"I love both of the things you got me, but you didn't have to spend money on me! I'm fine with just spending time with you." You explained. "Nah, I wanted to buy you something before I left. I figured you would like them though. I'm glad you do!" He squeezed you back, and rested his chin on the top of your head.

"Ready to go to the other place I planned out?" Josh asked. "Other place?" You pulled back from the hug and looked up at him. "Yea!" "Josh it's like, 5 in the evening." "I know." He laughed. "Alright..." You shook your head. He certainly was crazy sometimes.

Next, Josh drove you to a small restaurant. "Ooh I get it. Dinner." You laughed. "Duh!" Josh teased.

Both of you walked inside, and were seated at a booth. "This is a nice little place!" You said, looking around at the tiny details they had added to it. "I'm glad you like it!" Josh grinned.

Saying dinner was great was a total understatement. Both of you had an awesome time, and both of you knew it. If today was this great, what would tomorrow be like?

"Before I met you, I didn't even know it was possible to have this much fun with someone." You yawned. You were on your way back to the hotel room, and you felt like the car was rocking you to sleep with the way it moved. "And you yell at me for being cheesy." Josh replied. "Thank you though." He added.

The car finally came to a stop, and both of you found your way back to the hotel room after a couple of minutes.

"Home sweet hooome!" You fell into the bed, face smushed into the blanket again. "You're a frickin dweeb." Josh laughed. "But you're a damn cute dweeb." "Aww thanks Joshy." You replied, knowing the nickname would bug him. "Stooooop." He rolled his eyes sarcastically. "I'm gonna shove you off the bed if you do it again." He threatened playfully.

"Try me. Joshy." You lifted your head up from the blanket with a smirk. A look of mischief crossed his eyes. Oh no. He wasn't kidding. Before you knew it, Josh was rolling you off the bed. He refused to let you just fall off of the bed, so he practically lifted you from the bed to the floor.

You quickly found your way back up to the bed though, and stuck your tongue out at him. He gasped as thought you had found out a secret of his, and crawled onto the bed.

Josh pinned your arms down above your head, and made an angry face. Then he licked the tip of your nose, and let your arms go. "Gross Josh!" You wiped off your nose, laughing. "You don't think it's gross. I know you don't." "You got me there." You admitted, and let out a yawn.

"Aww is somebody sleepy?" Josh asked in a baby voice. "Yeeaa." You yawned again. "Well let's go to bed then." Josh replied, yawning himself. "Looks like I'm not the only one that's 'sleepy' around here, huh?" You asked, grabbing some pajamas. "Shhhhhh. Go get changed, sleepy pants." Josh shushed you.

After a couple minutes, you and Josh were both changed and in bed. "Today was a good day. Thanks again, for everything." You thanked him. You faced Josh this time, and had your arms wrapped around him like you were hugging him. It was something different, but neither of you seemed to mind it. "Thank you for doing stuff like that with me. I had an awesome time." You could tell he was smiling just by the time of his voice.
