Finally Found You (Josh Dun x Reader)

It was only a couple days after the incident with the guy at the pier. You referred to it quite a bit, and called it the "Jealous Josh" incident.

He didn't mind you talking about it. In fact, the more you had talked about it, the more affectionate he seemed to become.

Within the days since the "Jealous Josh" thing, he has gotten a lot more affectionate towards you. Not in the annoying way, but  in small ways that made all the difference.

He did didn't seem as shy about your relationship around people. It even seemed like he would brag about you subtly. It wasn't a big change, but it was noticeable to you. You wondered why he had been acting so... Different.

The boys were on their way back to Ohio, which was where their last show would be.

You and Josh had laid down to take a nap earlier, and you had just woke up. Josh was still asleep, but you were able to get out of bed without waking him up.

After getting out of bed, you decided to go talk to Tyler. "Hey, you dipcrap." Tyler chucked. "Hey." You replied, not being able to keep a straight face as you chuckled too.

"What's goin on?" Tyler asked, opening the fridge and grabbing a bottle of water. "Not a lot. Just woke up." You said, yawning a little. "Where's your lover boy?" He asked with a grin, and twisted the cap off of his water before takin a drink or two.

"He's still asleep. I didn't wanna wake him up. He has a lot of stuff to do later so he needs the rest." You replied, and grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge too. "At least he'll sleep now." Tyler sighed. "What?"

"The time that you weren't on tour with us, Josh could hardly sleep. I mean, a couple hours or whatever but not like he usually does." Tyler explained, sipping on his water again. "He said it didn't feel right without you." Tyler chuckled, knowing Josh would get mad if he knew Tyler told you.

"Aw... I feel bad that he couldn't sleep. It's nice to know I was missed. He definitely was. At least I wasn't the only one experiencing it." You laughed. "Well I'm definitely glad he can sleep, in that case. He might get a little upset that I got out of bed and didn't wake him up though."

"What do you mean?" Tyler asked, kind of confused. "He's been a lot more affectionate lately. Well, ever since that guy was hitting on me at the pier." You laughed, thinking about how stubborn Josh was about admitting he was jealous.

A knowing look passed over Tyler's face. "Ooh. I gotcha." "What?" "Nothing. I just know what you're meaning is all." Tyler replied, acting a little funny himself. "Ookay." You decided to brush it off for now.

The bus was almost to Ohio, and Josh was still asleep. You decided it was time to wake him up since he would have to start getting ready soon after you got to the venue.

"Joooosh." You said gently, putting your hand on his cheek. A grin came across your face, a plan forming in your mind. You leaned in, and pressed a gentle kiss to Josh's lips to wake him up.

Out of nowhere, Josh grabbed your hips and pulled you into bed. You fell on top of him, and scrambled to sit up the best you could. When you sat up... You were straddling Josh.

Your cheeks heated up with embarrassment as you looked down at Josh. His cheeks were a little pink too. "Oh my god I'm sorry I just-" You went to get off of him, but he grabbed your waist. "Come hereee I wanna kiss you." Josh fake whined, chuckling in the process.

He reached up and put a hand to your cheek, and gently brought your face to his. Josh gently pressed his lips to yours, and this sent butterflies through your stomach. The butterflies were there every time you kissed him. With your hands on his chest, you could feel his heart racing.

After a few seconds, you both pulled back from the kiss and looked at each other for a minute. "Anything you needed, beautiful?" Josh looked up at you innocently, and his words alone made your heart nearly melt. "W-We're almost to Ohio." You stuttered a little, not knowing how to react to his compliment.

"Ooh, nice. You excited for the concert?" Josh asked, acting as though you weren't sitting on him. "Y-Yea. I always love your guys' concerts." You smiled. "Well I'm glad you do! I'm pretty excited for it too! I don't think you have any idea how pumped I am about it." He said giddily, like a little kid in a candy store.

"Well we both need to get ready. Let's go, you butt." You giggled, planting a quick kiss on Josh's lips before getting off of him, and stretching once you were out of the bed. "5 more minutes?" Josh yawned. "Joooosh come on." You looked back at him as he rolled out of the bed. Almost literally.

It was finally concert time. Your favorite time of any time possible. The boys were both getting excited, the crowd was already pretty loud, and everyone looked like a busy bee trying to get everything ready. It was hectic, but you absolutely loved it.

Once it was time for the boys to come out, you made your way to a VIP section, and waited. Seconds after you had gotten to the VIP section, the boys came out on stage. The crowd went wild, including you.

The final song was over, and the crowd cheered crazily. "Well folks... That's all we had planned, but Josh wanted me to play one more song. Hey (Y/N)?" Tyler began, and you immediately become confused. "Security." Was all Tyler had to say before security came to grab you, helping push you up onto the stage. "Tyler what's going on?" You asked, super confused. "Well your seat is right there." Tyler pointed to a seat beside Josh's drum set.

You gave Tyler a really weird look before walking over to the seat beside Josh. "Josh what's going on?" You asked once you had sat down. "It's a surpriiise." Josh said excitedly.

After the crowd had quieted down, Tyler began singing. It was 'Tear In My Heart'. You looked from Josh to Tyler, then back at Josh, still not entirely sure what was going on.

It was near the end of the song, and Josh no longer had to play. It was only Tyler. As soon as Josh stopped playing, he grabbed your hand and hurriedly brought you center stage before Tyler stopped singing.

As the last note was played on the piano, Josh pressed his lips to yours. He cupped your cheeks with both hands as the sound of the piano faded out. When you had pulled back from the quick kiss, he looked you in the eye. There was something different, but you couldn't pin what it was.

"Hey, can I tell you something?" Josh asked, and the whole crowd went quiet. "Of course. What's wrong?" You asked, becoming kind of concerned. "Nothing's wrong." Josh laughed. "Then what is it?"

"I love you."

Your heart stopped, and your mouth gaped. The entire venue seemed to pause, waiting for your answer. The biggest smile came across your face.

"I love you too."

You hugged Josh tightly, and the crowd went crazy. Your heart was racing, and since your ear was pressed to Josh's chest, you could tell his was too.

It was both of your first 'I love you's, and to finally say it felt amazing.

You, Josh, and Tyler were all walking back to the tour bus. Josh holding your hand, of course.

"So I can call him your lover boy and it's legit this time." Tyler looked over at you two, smirking. "That's not false." You laughed.

Eventually, Tyler had to part ways with you two.

Josh stopped, and pulled you to his chest in a tight hug. "Hey Josh?" "Yea?" "Best. Concert. Ever."
