Finally Found You (Josh Dun x Reader)

Today was a whole week away from the day Josh had to leave to go back on tour with Tyler. Although you were happy that Josh was doing what he loved and being successful, you would definitely miss him. You missed him way more than you would admit.

You guys were now eating breakfast, and talking about what you wanted to do today. "We should do a bunch of stuff together this week. I don't get to see you for like, ever!" You sighed, and took a bite of your toast. "Of course! Did you have anything in mind?" Josh asked. "N-Not really. I want to do something but I don't really know what." You admitted. "Would you be up for going out of town?" He asked. "You mean like a mini vacation?" "Sure!" He grinned.

"We could go to a big city and get a hotel room and just stay for a couple of days." Josh explained. "That sounds fun! There's tons of stuff to do in big cities." You replied, thinking of all of the possibilities. "Let's just go tonight."

"What?!" Your eyes were wide in disbelief. "Yea! We only have so much more time before I go on tour. Why not tonight?" Josh asked, laughing at the expression on your face. "I guess that can work... Sure!" You smiled, now excited for your out of the blue trip with Josh. "Well we gotta go get packed!" Josh exclaimed.

Josh finally pulled into the parking lot of the hotel you decided to stay at for a couple of days. You guys had gotten a pretty decent room at an awesome hotel. You could tell that the next couple of days were going to be a blast.

Packing was hectic to say the least. Josh had just thrown some stuff into a suitcase and was ready. However, it was harder for you to pack. You wanted to look nice while you were out with him! You carefully packed some nice outfits (after having help from Josh to pick the outfits that looked best on you, of course) and grabbed some other essential things you guys would need.

You and Josh pulled your suitcases into your room after checking in, and you instantly ran to the bed and flopped into it face down. "So comfy!" Your voice was extremely muffled through the blanket. Next thing you knew, Josh had run in and jumped face first onto the bed next to you. "Totally!" Josh's voice was just as muffled as yours.

Both of you laughed for a while at your guys' childishness. It was fun though! And definitely something neither of you regret. "Josh this going to be so awesome!" You rolled over next to him. "Duhhhh" Josh rolled over too, and rolled on top of you. "You doofus." You laughed and pushed him off of you.

"What should we do the next couple of days?" He asked, arms spread out. "Hm... Maybe we could go to the zoo? Or something like that." You mentioned with a chuckle. "I have an idea!" Josh sat up quickly. "What?" "I could just surprise you with what were going to do each day!" He grinned, proud of his idea. "That'd be fine!" You replied. You figured it'd be easier to let Josh decide what you guys were going to do and surprise you rather than talking about it over and over. This trip was already getting better by the minute!

It was now night time, and you and Josh were getting ready for bed. He was in the bathroom now, and you were sitting in a seat near a large window. When you looked outside, the sky was as clear as could be. The Stars were shining brighter than usual tonight. You heard the sound of bare feet scuffing against carpet, and next thing you know Josh was beside you. "Minty fresh." Josh grinned in a cheesy way, showing his teeth. "Alrighty then." You laughed, and looked back at the stars.

"Aren't the stars beautiful?" You asked. "Not as beautiful as youuu darling." Josh replied. "You're so corny." You laughed at him. "Thank you, though." You looked over at him and smiled. "You know... I kinda miss you already." You sighed and looked back at the stars. "I already miss you too. We'll just have to make up for all of the missing each other tomorrow! We'll have an awesome time, I promise." Josh stood up.

"Now I'm afraid I have to get my princess to bed. I'm worried she's gonna be staring at the stars all night and I won't get to cuddle with her." He laughed as he picked you up out of the chair you were sitting in. You could only shake your head and chuckle at him though. "Thank you Josh." You smiled.

Both of you were finally in bed, and cuddled up under the hotel blanket. "I'm excited for tomorrow." Josh said as he pulled you into him, your back touching his bare chest. "I'm excited too." "I'm glad." He yawned. "We need to get some sleep. Got a big day ahead of us!" Josh snuggled into your neck. "Goodnight Josh." You yawned in response. "Goodnight (Y/N)."
