46: Taking Refugees

Cassie shrugged her shoulders, keeping her badass façade, "Since I realized our father was a psychopath... All those people are dead because of him and I could have helped."

More shaking and jolting knocked the both of them off their feet. The sound of the ship's guns being fired filled the air.

Meg turned on her earpiece as she took Cassie down the hall towards the loading bay.

"Rip- what is attacking us?" She asked.

"Some sort of giant robot-" he cut out, causing Margaret to curse.

"Leviathan." Cassandra told her sister, "One of father's weapons he uses to take down the rebels."

Meg quickly glanced around the room to find something to delay the attack- gathering some long chord and a machine gun.

"Okay... This is a crazy idea." The redhead admitted, mostly to herself, "But it'll buy us time."

She tied the cord around her waist, and then around the railing, "Cassandra- I need you to hang on tight."

Meg slammed her hand onto the open button- causing the usually dead bolted doors to open. As the ship jolted back and forth, the Metahuman became face to face with the biggest robot she had ever seen.

"Where did he even get this shit, anyway?" Meg shouted, loading the gun with a long magazine.

"I don't know... And that's not gonna stop Leviathan!" Cassie called back, gripping onto the rail tightly.

Casting a mischievous smirk to her half sister, Meg charged the gun with her powers- lacing the bullets being fired with a burst of light energy.

Then she pulled the trigger, and the powered bullets hit the arm of the giant robot. Meg was hoping it'll let the Waverider go since they had innocent people on this ship... They couldn't die!

The robot shook the ship, then threw it up into the air- far away from it. Meg closed the door as they flew through the air, waiting for the impact. Hanging onto the rope, she carefully untied herself from it, but still held on tightly.

Then, they crashed, skidding a few times before coming to a slow halt. Meg slammed hard against the wall, her laser-burned side screaming in pain. Ouch.

"You okay?" Margaret groaned, slowly getting to her feet. Her arm wrapped around her stomach, wincing as she slowly moved around. Cassie got up, seeming unharmed.

"How did you do that?" She pointed to the light that slowly faded from Margaret's fingertips.

"Guess dear old dad didn't tell you about my metahuman powers, huh?" Cassandra shook her head, "Well.. You probably know the whole STAR Labs lightning thing... Well that night I was driving though town and got struck by lightning. When Rip recruited me I discovered these powers."

"You're powers suit you well Meg." Cassie noted as they walked to the main deck, where Rip and the others most likely were. The ship wouldn't be up and running for a while... And who knew when that giant robot would reach them again.

"What do you mean?" Meg asked her half-sister.

"There is light in you... That I can see... But there is something overpowering you. Training with my father's army over the years has taught me how easily darkness can rule a person." She explained. Meg sent her a bewildered look with narrowed eyes.

Looking down at her hands, a few shadows swirled around, glowing with potential power, itching to be used.

"A lot of things have just been thrown my way.." Meg trailed off, "A lot of things I'm not ready for."

They found the rest of the team, who were slowly getting up from the ship's rough crash.

"Meg- you seriously could have just killed the whole ship!" Rip ran a hand through his hair, frustrated.

"But did you die?" Meg rose a brow, "No... I bought us time."

"To do what?" Snart asked. His eyes fall on Cassandra, "Did Cassie here tell you anything?"

"I showed her how psychotic Savage is... She's willing to put an end to his rule and save the remaining rebels." The redhead explained, "But I'm guessing you wanted to hear that from her."

Cassie gave a small smile, "I can take you to him. I know exactly where he's gonna be tonight if you wanna kill him. But we have to move."

Kendra held up a golden mace, glistening with newfound power.

"With the help of the bracelet from my first life, this weapon can kill Savage. I'm ready if you guys are." She said, exchanging a loving look to Ray. Meg shifted her eyes down to her feet, clenching my fists tightly until her nails started to dig into her skin.

Could this team pep talk hurry up? Meg was really in the mood to kill someone.

Especially if that person was an immortal psychopath who went by the name of Vandal Savage.
